Gold Moon: Mated To The Beta Twins Chapter 196: A Stupid Commander

Morgan’s p.o.v.

The past year flew by with all the studying and training we did, and we all graduated three weeks early, so right now we are enjoying four days off. Starting Monday, we will be a fully operational unit for the King, and we can get sent on assignment immediately.

I will also have my first weekly meeting with the other Commanders and the King, but with the comments we have been hearing from the other unit members, I am not as nervous as I probably should be. I actually look forward to seeing their faces when I walk into the meeting room.

After discussing it with my unit, we decided to use our meals on the top floor of our wing, where there is an amazing kitchen, and each of us can cook.

We enjoy our time off together, talking about our homework or training, and making sure we are all on schedule. This resulted in all of us graduating together.

I hear it the moment she comes stomping up the stairs, someone pissed off Moura, and I know it takes a lot for her to get pissed off. She is my most level-headed Captain, and even if she gets angry, it doesn’t show, but this time, everyone can tell the moment she walks into the living room.

She shoves the box she is holding into Waylen’s arm and makes a beeline for Beck. He opens his arms to calm her and her Wolf down. Beck turned eighteen three months ago, and on the first Full Moon after that, he found out that Moura is his fated mate.

He was unable to keep his Wolf from making it known. I informed Elder Emmett, and he had a good, long talk with the three of us.

Until Moura turns eighteen, he can’t sleep in the same room, but in situations like this, he is allowed to calm her down, and I allow them to sit together as long as we are in our own wing.

He holds her in his arms as he talks to her, and in between her cussing and swearing, I hear what happened, nearly making Beck lose control of his Wolf.

“Beck, I will deal with this on Monday. I just want to know if this is the first time a Commander tried this.” I say as I look at every female member of my unit, but it looks like this is the first time, and I am glad that Moura can tell me the name of the Commander.

“No one leaves the wing on their own for the time being, and if a Commander or Captain ever tries something like this again, I want to know about it,” I growl, and I know everyone will look out for the other to make sure this never happens again.

“Do you think the other unit heard me coming up the stairs, Commander?” Moura asks, and I tell her that I doubt their hearing is as good as mine. My unit is aware of my ability, and with Moura’s interest in bloodlines with gifts, she narrowed my bloodline down to two Packs.

When she told me that there were only two bloodlines known to get the gift of hearing, I was surprised to hear about it, but we all growled and roared when she told us what used to happen to Wolves or Lycans with a gift, and it made me wonder if that was why Mom and Dad never mentioned it to me.

My unit swore to me they would never reveal my gift to anyone, and eventually, it was Chaya who figured out from which Pack I was and who my parents are.

It explained quite a few things to the members of my unit, and it made working together much easier.

To take Moura’s mind off the Dipshit, I decided to tell them a little more about my family.

“You know the name of my birth pack, but I doubt you know much about the Alpha family,” I say as we sit down with some coffee in our hands. “I have six older brothers, and there are two years and a month between each of us, and to make it even more creepy, we were all born on the first of the month.”

I chuckle as they look at one another in shock before returning their attention to me.

“Please don’t ask me how our parents did it. I was never able to figure it out. We all spent our first year in the same room because Mom wanted the nursery near their bedroom, until our first birthday, when we got our own room.

Our pack members helped Dad prepare for each birth, and my brothers could sleep in the nursery immediately.

Ashton was twelve when he asked Mom if she had ever wanted a little girl, and Mom explained that we don’t always get what we want.” I let the words sink in.

Moura looks at me for a few seconds before her eyes widen and a smile appears on my face.

“Yes, Moura. Ashton asked that question the day before I was born. He wanted a baby sister after five baby brothers, and Mom had said, If I get a baby girl tomorrow, I will be over the moon.” I hear everyone chuckle.

“Your Mom didn’t know she was pregnant,” Moura states as Waylen fills our mugs again.

“You can imagine the laughter coming from Ashton, because he knew that would be impossible, and even Dad was chuckling. They had tried a few times to get pregnant again after Landon was born, but a month or two before I was born, Mom gave up on ever having a baby girl.

Mom collapsed the next day just after breakfast, and Dad rushed her to the infirmary with my Brothers running behind him. Dad kept feeling the excruciating pain Mom went through from time to time, and it took hours before our Pack doctor came out to see Dad.

I always asked why he hadn’t figured it out by the time they got to the infirmary. You want to know what Dad always answered.” I look around the room to see if any of them might have an idea.

“I wasn’t expecting another birth, so I didn’t connect it to labor pains. Doc had confirmed that Mom wasn’t pregnant, and therefore, I didn’t realize it could be labor pains. That was his answer.” I smile as almost all of them shake their heads.

“Ashton was born in January, and if you do the math, you will know that I was a summer Pup as I was born in July. So, I am the youngest of seven Pups and also the only female, but my Brothers never treated me any differently. Mom always called me her little miracle.”

I succeeded in taking everyone’s attention off the issue Moura had with that stupid Commander, and his ass is mine on Monday.
