One Weekend with the Billionaire Chapter 24

Sunlight filters through my eyelashes as I open my eyes and blink them several times, trying to fully regain consciousness and remember where I am and what’s going on.

Then, it all comes back to me. I am at Braxton’s house--in his bed--or at least his guest room. We made love last night, and even though I have never been with another man, other than my husband, I do not regret it. Not one bit.

I roll over, expecting to find the bed empty beside me. If it had been Jeff, he would’ve gotten up as soon as we were done and ran off to his own room. But Braxton is there. He is awake, his head propped up on one hand as he gazes down at me. “Good morning, beautiful,” he says, his voice husky from sleep. “How are you?”

It wasn’t all a dream. It all really did happen. I can’t help but smile at him as I hold the sheets tightly under my chin. I’m not sure why I am slightly embarrassed now to be naked next to him after we were together last night--and all night for that matter--but I am a little self-conscious. “I’m good,” I say, smiling at him. “How are you?”

He brushes a lock of hair away from my cheek. “I’m wonderful, thank you.” His smile makes me think he means that. “What would you like to do today?”

The thoughts that enter my mind are a little dirty, especially for me. I want to stay here in bed with him and go back to the place he sent me to the night before, over the edge of euphoria. I feel my cheeks blush as I think about answering that way and know that I can’t.

Or can I? Last night, Braxton made me feel like I could do anything. Now, with the question hanging in the air between us, I don’t feel ashamed to say to him exactly what I want. “I want… you,” I say, not even recognizing my own voice. I sound so empowered, so strong, so very much unlike how I did before--before I met Braxton, before he took me in his arms, before he showed me what it’s like to be heard.

His smile widens as the red in my face begins to dissipate, and I am no longer holding onto the bedclothes like they are a lifeline. Instead, I push them aside and go to him.

His mouth is warm and still tastes sweet, even though we’ve both slept. He pulls me against him, our naked bodies stretched out against one another. It is still dark in the room, even though I know from the clock that the sun is up, only the bit of sunlight filtering through the thick curtains lighting the room enough for us to see one another. I want to see him. I want to run my hands down him and feel every inch of his body. I want to taste his skin and feel him deep inside of me.

The kiss deepens as his hands roam my body, sliding down my side, stopping to caress my breast before cupping my bottom. I am ready for him, the need growing deep between my legs, when Braxton pulls back and looks at me. “Julia, I want to make love to you again. I want to pleasure you so badly. I would like to have your permission to take you to places you’ve never been before, but in order to do that, I’ll need to take control this time. That doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t be involved or let me know what you like and what you don’t like, but I’ll need to be the dominant. Is that okay?”

I stare at him, shocked he’s even asking. Yes, he let me be on top the night before. In fact, he insisted on it. But… I had no expectation of that always being the case. I would love for Braxton to dominate me, to take me to those places I’ve never been before. I nod and say, “Yes, Braxton. I’m yours. I trust you.”

He smiles and his tongue slides between my lips again as his mouth devours mine, and I surrender to him completely.
