Systems of Thought in All Fields Chapter 23
After talking with the mother who Samuel Johnson had saved on the bus, a few minutes later, the bus Samuel Johnson was riding in finally arrived in front of the alley in the area where his family lived. Samuel Johnson asked the bus driver to stop for a moment, because Samuel Johnson had arrived in front of the alley of his family's house.
"Sir driver, stop in the front alley, sir. I'll get off there," said Samuel Johnson to the bus driver to stop the bus that the bus driver was taking in the alley in front.
The driver, who heard Samuel Johnson's words, finally answered Samuel Johnson's words with gentle words. "Okay, I'll stop this car in the front alley. Be careful when you get off the bus later." The driver answered Samuel Johnson.
Samuel Johnson smiled, this was the first time Samuel Johnson had a bus driver who really cared about him. To the point that the bus driver gave a warning that if you got off the bus platform you had to be careful.
"Don't worry, sir. These eyes can still see the footing of your bus. Hehe." Said Samuel Johnson again in response to the driver's words, interspersed with insults to the driver.
Finally, after the last words spoken by Samuel Johnson, the bus that Samuel Johnson was riding finally stopped. "It's here, you can come down, son." Said the driver to Samuel Johnson.
Samuel Johnson was smiling again at the driver. "Haha, okay sir. I'll get off. Here's the money to pay for the bus." Samuel Johnson said while giving money to the bus driver.
However, instead of accepting the money by the bus driver, the money given by Samuel Johnson was rejected by the bus driver. "No, just put in your money, son. Today is free for you. You don't have to pay for this bus ride." The driver explained to Samuel Johnson.
Samuel Johnson, who heard that, frowned. Samuel Johnson didn't understand why the bus driver was giving him a free ride. In fact, what Samuel Johnson helped was not the bus driver but the passengers on the bus.
Samuel Johnson also did not want to accept the payment money given free by the driver because it was not Samuel Johnson's right to receive it. Samuel Johnson helped the passengers on this bus based on Samuel Johnson's own wishes, so like it or not, Samuel Johnson's principle was to continue paying for the bus ride that Samuel Johnson was riding. Because Samuel Johnson knows what it's like to make money, which isn't easy, of course. In fact, Samuel Johnson himself felt that way. So, Samuel Johnson did not want to accept or take money that was not his right.
"No, no. I'm still paying for this, sir. This money is your right. Why are you giving me a ride for free? I'm also a passenger on this bus, that means I'm the same as everyone else, paying for bus rides. "This gentleman will arrive at his destination," explained Samuel Johnson to the bus driver.
"Especially for you, son. Today is free. But not tomorrow. Only today. Don't you want to use this golden opportunity? Don't you want to get freebies from me?" The driver offered to Samuel Johnson. And Samuel Johnson finally thought about it. Actually, Samuel Johnson's entire life. Samuel Johnson never got anything for free. Samuel Johnson always paid for it all. This is the first time Samuel Johnson has gotten a fairly long ride for free and for nothing. Was this one of the signs of good fortune that came to Samuel Johnson? Is all this the result of Samuel Johnson having the power of this system in his body for free? May be.
"That's it, just accept it, son. Don't think too much. In fact, the bus driver is being kind to you. So, he's giving you a free ride for today for nothing." The mothers who were saved by Samuel Johnson were finally saved. also gave Samuel Johnson a view to accept the free offer from the bus driver that Samuel Johnson was riding.
But Samuel Johnson was still curious, why did this happen suddenly? Why did everything happen so well and give Samuel Johnson a free ride? Instead of Samuel Johnson's curiosity continuing to peak, finally Samuel Johnson asked the bus driver that Samuel Johnson was riding.
"Please give me one reason, sir. Why do you want to give me a free and only ride for today? Even though you usually never do, sir. I'm really surprised at you." Samuel Johnson asked the bus driver whose bus Samuel Johnson was riding in.
"Do I have to give a reason for my kindness to you today? You need that too? Even though this is just a good intention towards you." The driver answered Samuel Johnson without giving the reason that Samuel Johnson asked the bus driver.
"I need that reason, sir. Because I have never been given a ride for free or a free ride before. I don't understand why you did this only to me? While the other passengers didn't." The driver heard Samuel Johnson's story. just now, finally exhaled his breath towards Samuel Johnson. If the bus driver does not answer Samuel Johnson's question, then Samuel Johnson will never get off this bus. Meanwhile, it was already evening, even though it was still quite a long journey to get to the bus' final stop.
"If I don't answer your question, it looks like you won't get off this bus and keep asking me the reason why I gave you a free ride and that's all, right? Don't you see? It's already nighttime, and getting to the final stop is still pretty good. "It's far away. You're hampering my time a bit in dropping off the other passengers. So step aside and get off immediately, before you get demoted by the other passengers!" The bus driver said at length to Samuel Johnson.
"Never mind, you didn't answer my question anyway. Even though I only asked that, you didn't answer it." Samuel Johnson answered the bus driver.
"Yes! Yes! I will answer it. Because you helped one of my passengers. And for the sake of comfort and for me passengers are kings or queens who must be treated fairly, that's why I gave you a ride for free. and it's free. Because you have helped one of my passengers! Is that clear, little young man?" The driver replied to Samuel Johnson.
Samuel Johnson, who heard the bus driver's explanation, finally chuckled after hearing his words. "Haha, okay, okay. I will accept your offer. Thank you for today. I hope you have more passengers. I'll excuse myself from getting off first." Samuel Johnson finally said after going through a long argument with the bus driver he was riding in.
