The Omegas Time Chapter 30

Lincoln 

Pacing back and forth along the length of Hopes room I tried my hardest not to look at her. If I did I would go to her and give her exactly what she needed. 

“I thought the blue drink-“ I stammered as another of Hope's moans filled my ears. Out of the corner of my eye I saw her writhe up, her back arched and her nipples diamond hard under her sweat soaked shirt. 

Drawing in a ragged breath through my mouth I fought back the urge to groan. She was too close and her heat was coming on thick and fast. Like a tsunami. Not even breathing through my mouth was helping anymore. The scent of her slick was coating the inside of my mouth so I could taste her.

I wanted to taste her, bathe in her, fill-

At my side my hands clenched into fists. “The blue drink was meant to dampen this. A horny omega is one thing but one in full heat-“ I trailed off. Unable to admit out loud that I wouldn’t be able to control myself for much longer. An hour , maybe two at the most before I gave into my most primal urges and completely ruined her for any alpha that would want her.

“Or did you think we wouldn’t notice?” I took a step towards the woman , deacon had dragged in here by her hair screaming. 

The low life he had purchased the tonic from. I had paid good money out for it. “Or did you think you could swindle me out of-“

The beta woman’s black rimmed eyes widened. “I didn’t -“ she reached for me. Her grubby , dirt encrusted nails scraping down my shirt so I had to step away. I didn’t mind dirt. I wasn’t precious but I didn’t want to be touched by the filth that coated her. 

“No Alpha.” She dropped her hand to her side. “Please.” She wailed desperately, falling to her knees and then face down on to the carpet. “It’s never failed before. I promise. Please don’t hurt my family.”

My eyebrows shot up. Hurt her family? Like I would ever but any of the other alphas would have. They would have burned everything she held dear.

Although they wouldn’t have got the potion to begin with. They would have been so far inside Hopes body the moment she was before them.

I wanted-

No.

“Then what the fuck went wrong this time.” Clench and then unclench my hands went. I concentrated on it. The flex of my fingers and the bite of my short nails into my palm. It helped regulate my feelings, which were mostly just a need so hot that I felt like I was on fire.

“May I?” She lifted her eyes to me and I glared downward with a growl that pulled my lips back from my teeth. She quickly dropped her eyes again.

“Yes.”

Climbing to her feet I went to the other side of the bed to her. Mostly to get away from her stench but also because I wanted to see exactly what she was going to do.

She leant over Hope, pressing her hand to her forehead and then the sweat slick skin of her throat and chest. “And she took it on the first day of the heat?” She asked and her hand slipped down further.  Causing me to growl even louder. Any lower and she would be cupping her breast and I couldn’t stand anyone touching Hope but me.

And I couldn’t touch her.

I clenched my fingers again. This time so tightly that I could feel blood dribble out where my nails cut in.

“As soon as we realised yes.”

The beta woman, looked at me through the curtain of her filthy hair and cocked her head to the side. “What do you mean as soon as you realised? Surely she should have known it was coming.”

“It’s her first heat.” Deacon said from the end of the bed.

The woman frowned. “Her first? But she’s-“ she raked her eyes over Hope and shook her head. “No wonder it didn’t work. No one and nothing can stop the first heat. And this one-“ her hand slipped under Hopes neckline and this time I couldn’t keep still. Lashing out i caught her wrist and yanked her hand back.

“Do not touch her.” I warned , my voice was all muffled because suddenly my teeth weren’t human and my beasts teeth were much to big for my mouth. She stumbled backwards. Abject fear in her face.

“Someone needs to touch her.” She seemed to gather her bravery around her like armour. “If this is her first heat she will not know what to do. She will burn up and-“

I shook my head but I wanted to do what she asked. Telling them to leave so I could explore Hope's wet body was always a millisecond away from leaving my lips.

Hell I wouldn’t even care if they didn’t leave. I wanted to taste her skin. Lap at -

No.

“No.” I snarled. “No one is touching her. Give her something. Stop it. Before she attracts every alpha in a-“

“There is no stopping it Alpha Lincoln. We might be able to dampen it but she is in heat and she needs an alpha. If you don’t want to take her and release her body then let one of the others do it. Many alpha’s would happily take her and pay handsomely for the privilege. They might-“

“No.” I surged forward over the bed, my hands wrapped themselves around her throat and squeezed. “No other alpha is touching her. No one. Is that understood?” I bellowed. 

“Lincoln?” Hope's voice was a low agonised whisper. Instantly I dropped the woman. Leaving her to fall to the floor in a wheezing heap. 

“It’s ok, Hope.” I wanted to give her comfort but even touching her was dangerous. 

“Hurts.” She turned to me, curling her legs up to her chest and sobbing and it was almost too much to bare. 

“I know and I’m going to take that pain away.” Without touching you I added silently because no matter what I was starting to feel for the beautiful red haired woman in the bed below me I couldn’t take an omega of my own. 

“What do I need to do?” I asked warily. “I will not force myself on her like this. When she doesn’t really want it. She will hate me.”

And there it was, the truth. I could tell myself it was because of my morals and what I believed in but it wasn’t. I cared about Hope. I cared enough to want her in my bed when she wanted to be there and not because her body was going crazy. 

If I took her now she would never forgive me.

“If you won’t touch her, and you don’t want any other alphas to have her then you will need to take her somewhere more secure and lock her away until it passes.” Her eyes narrowed. “And it best be somewhere defendable because they will fight for the death to rut her.”

I lifted my eyes to Deacon. “Get the car ready and send word that we will be coming to ZSL today.”

Nodding Deacon rushed from the room.

“You will need to teach her how to help herself Alpha Lincoln. She won’t know what to do otherwise and that might mean touching or watching her. Are you going to be handle that or-“

I swallowed hard. “I guess we will see.”

“Even if she can relieve the pressure your little Omega is going to be in a lot of pain. Agony really.”

I closed my eyes. I knew that too. This really was going to be my hardest challenge ever.
