Natasha's POV

"Your sister has been taken to Lord Sebastian's territory," he said. His tone carefully neutral. "You're requested to accompany us there. Lord Sebastian wishes to speak with you."

Every alarm in my body went off at once.

"I—" My throat was dry. "I need to speak with Lord Fergus first. He gave me specific instructions about—"

"Lord Fergus departed the fortress this morning," the scarred guard said. "Urgent business in the Eastern territories. He won't return until tomorrow evening at the earliest."

*No. No, this can't be coincidence. The timing is too perfect.*

I took a step back. "Then I should wait. Wait until Lord Fergus returns and—"

"Your sister is waiting now," the guard said. His expression hardened slightly. "Lord Sebastian was very clear. You're to come immediately. Both of you have been requested."

The younger guard shifted uncomfortably. Wouldn't meet my eyes.

*This is a trap. This is exactly what Fergus warned me about. People who want to stop me from helping Mordred. Who'll use anyone—even Davelina—to get to me.*

"I can't," I said. Voice shaking. "I can't just leave without permission. Without telling anyone where I'm going. If Lord Fergus finds out—"

"Lord Fergus will be informed," the scarred guard said. "We're following proper protocols. Lord Sebastian has every right to request the presence of slaves when conducting business between territories."

He stepped closer. "You can come willingly. Or we can compel you. Either way, you're coming. The only question is how difficult you want to make this."

I looked between them. Saw no sympathy. No flexibility.

*If I refuse, they'll force me. Drag me. And Davelina will still be trapped there.*

*But if I go...*

Fergus's voice echoed in my mind. *"If you're in danger, come to me immediately. Don't try to handle it yourself."*

But Fergus wasn't here. And Davelina was.

My sister. My only family. The person I'd sworn to protect.

*I have to go. Even if it's a trap. Even knowing it's a trap. I can't leave her there alone.*

"I want to see Lord Fergus's chambers first," I said desperately. "Just to confirm he's really gone. To leave him a message about where I've been taken."

The guards exchanged glances. The younger one looked almost sympathetic.

But the scarred guard shook his head. "No time. Lord Sebastian is expecting you. We leave now."

He grabbed my arm. Not gently. "Come. The carriage is waiting."

---

They marched me through the fortress. Past servants who stared. Past other slaves who quickly looked away, not wanting to get involved.

Out into the courtyard where a dark carriage waited. The same one, I realized with sinking dread, that must have taken Davelina.

"Get in," the scarred guard ordered.

I climbed inside. The guards followed. Sat across from me, blocking any escape.

The door slammed shut. Locked from the outside.

The carriage lurched forward. I grabbed the edge of the seat to steady myself.

Through the small window, I watched the main fortress recede. Watched familiar territory give way to wilderness. Dark forests. Rocky hills. Barren landscapes that seemed to stretch forever.

*I'm doing exactly what they want. Walking into their trap.*

*But what choice do I have?*

The journey took hours. The sun crept across the sky and began its descent toward the horizon. Shadows lengthened. The temperature dropped.

I tried to memorize the route. The landmarks. Anything that might help if—somehow—we managed to escape.

But everything looked the same. Twisted. Desolate. Empty.

The guards didn't speak. Just watched me with unreadable expressions.

Finally—as darkness began to fall—the carriage slowed.

Through the window, I saw it. Sebastian's fortress. Rising from rocky ground like something carved from nightmare.

Dark stone. Sharp angles. Narrow windows that looked like eyes. Walls that seemed to absorb light rather than reflect it.

*This place feels wrong. Everything about it feels wrong.*

The carriage stopped. The door opened. Guards pulled me out.

More guards waited. They looked at me with cold eyes. Assessing. Dismissive.

"This is the one?" one asked.

"Wait," I said. "My sister. Where is she? Is she here? Is she safe?"

No one answered. They just pulled me forward.

Sebastian's POV

I stood near the window of my private chambers, a goblet of wine in my hand. But my attention wasn't on the view.

It was on her.

Davelina.

She stood in the center of the room. Hands bound in front of her with rough rope.

But she wasn't trying to flee. Just stood there trembling. Face pale with terror. Eyes swimming with unshed tears.

*Magnificent. Even more so than I remembered.*

I'd seen her before. Noticed her immediately—that long blonde hair, those delicate features, that body even a slave dress couldn't hide.

I'd wanted her then. But Fergus had moved first.

*And then he'd touched her. Broken his abstinence for this slip of a girl.*

That made her valuable. Proof that even the strongest of us had weaknesses.

And now she was here. At my mercy.

The plan had been simple—kill the brother, eliminate the threat. But looking at her now, my intentions shifted into something far more satisfying.

*Why not take something from Fergus in the process? Something he values? Something he'll never get back?*

A knock sounded at the door.

"Enter," I called.

Isabelle stepped in. My wet nurse. Heavily pregnant with my child, her belly swollen, her breasts full and heavy with milk.

"My Lord," she said, smiling. "The boy has arrived. He's in the fortress now."

*Perfect.*

"Excellent work, Isabelle," I said, moving toward her. "You've done exceptionally well."

She practically glowed at the praise. "Thank you, my Lord. I live to serve you."

I reached her. Cupped her breast through her dress. Felt the weight, the heat.

She gasped softly. "My Lord..."

"You've earned a reward," I murmured, squeezing gently. Her breast was heavy, swollen with milk. I could feel her nipple hardening beneath the fabric.

I squeezed harder. She moaned quietly. "My Lord... the guards..."

"Let them watch," I said, moving my other hand to her swollen belly. Stroking it possessively.

I pinched her nipple through the fabric. She gasped, arched into my hand.

"Bring them both to my chambers," I ordered, releasing her. "I want them together."

Isabelle's eyes gleamed with understanding. "Both of them, my Lord?"

"Yes." I smiled. "The boy and the girl. I want them in my private chambers."

Dark anticipation flashed across her face. "As you command, my Lord."

I watched her hurry off.

Tonight was going to be very entertaining indeed.
