From His Fake Wife to Billionaire Heiress Chapter 130: Sebastian Owes Me
He walked right past Sophia's hand—still hanging in mid-air. Then he said something cold enough to freeze someone solid.
"Is that right?" he said. "Well, I'm not happy to see you."
Sophia's smile cracked.
She had never been rejected like this in her life. She'd always relied on her looks and her way with men. And it had always worked.
But she'd spent years in the entertainment industry. Her mental toughness was far beyond that of the average girl.
She pulled her awkward hand back fast and turned it into a little gesture—covering her mouth with a giggle.
"Mr. Torres," she said, forcing a laugh, "you're so humorous."
Too bad she'd picked the one man in the world who had no interest in playing along.
Sebastian dropped his gaze and gave her one impatient look.
Then he turned and walked off without another second of hesitation. His long legs carried him straight toward the stairwell.
That tall, unbending back shut Sophia out of his world completely.
"Hey—Sebastian! Wait up!" Aiden snapped out of it. He stopped gawking at Sophia's priceless expression and ran after him.
In a flash, the hallway was empty—just Sophia, standing there alone.
She stared in the direction Sebastian and Aiden had gone—toward the underground parking garage, it looked like.
She was full of questions.
The banquet just started. Someone like Sebastian—at the top of Havenbrook's food chain—why would he leave this early?
Shouldn't he be down there? Soaking up all the attention? Everyone kissing his ring?
And what was that attitude just now?
Sophia bit her lower lip hard. Her emotions were churning.
Shame and humiliation lingered in her heart, along with a far stronger urge to conquer him.

Meanwhile, in the elevator heading down to the parking garage, Aiden opened his mouth a few times. But every time he glanced at Sebastian's icy profile, he shut it again.
They reached the garage fast. Sebastian was already walking toward his car.
Aiden knew if he didn't speak now, he'd lose his chance.
"Sebastian!" He couldn't hold back anymore. He ran up and planted himself in front of the car door.
Sebastian stopped. His brow furrowed. "Move."
"No." Aiden gathered every bit of courage he had. "Look, Sebastian—I know I screwed up with that shortfall. Just give me some time. I'll cover it. I swear."
"Oh?" Sebastian raised an eyebrow, dripping with sarcasm. "With what? That island development project of yours? The one where even the feasibility report is full of holes?"
Aiden went pale.
He knows about that, too?
"That project has huge potential!" Aiden argued desperately. "That island outside Havenbrook? Gorgeous views. If we get the funding, turn it into a high-end private resort—it'll make a fortune. I can cover that fifteen percent. Hell, I could cover double.
"Just invest, Sebastian. With Torres Group's resources and your name behind it, this thing is a sure thing. We—"
"I'm not interested," Sebastian cut him off, cold.
He stepped around Aiden and reached for the door on the other side of the car.
That clean, brutal rejection hit Aiden like a bucket of ice water.
"Sebastian!" Aiden screamed.
Sebastian paused, his hand on the door handle.
Aiden's eyes were bloodshot. He stepped closer, shaking, voice dripping with venom. "Before my mom died, she asked you to take care of me. You promised her! Is this how you keep your word?"
Something flickered across Sebastian's usually unreadable face.
He turned slowly and looked at Aiden—standing there, falling apart.
In his memory, his aunt, Regina Quinn, had always been gentle and warm. She used to step in front of him to shield him.
Aiden looked like her. But... he wasn't her.
"Don't forget," Aiden added, seeing Sebastian's expression soften. His voice got louder, more unhinged. "Don't forget how my mother died!" he screamed.
Sebastian said nothing.
The garage fell silent. All that was left was Aiden's heavy, ragged breathing.
A long moment passed. Then Sebastian finally moved.
He pulled open the door and got in the car. "Send me the full project files tomorrow."
Sebastian's car disappeared quickly from the garage exit.
Aiden stood there alone. A nasty look settled on his face.
See? I knew it.
All I have to do is bring up my mother, and Sebastian folds every time.
A cold, humorless smile curled his lips.
Who's he putting on this act for?
If it weren't for Sebastian, my mother never would have died.
But he thinks propping up Quinn Group all these years—throwing resources our way—makes up for everything?
No. Not even close.
Sebastian owes me. The whole Torres family owes me.
"Don't blame me for dragging you into this, Sebastian..." Aiden muttered under his breath. His eyes gleamed with something wild.
