Reclaiming Her Heart Chapter 414: Impossible to Fancy Someone Else's Wife
In Silver Bay City, there were plenty of women who wanted to sleep with Raymond. Selena was the only one who complained that Raymond wanted to sleep with her too frequently.
Raymond noticed her turning her head away, refusing to comply. He took off his suit jacket and laid it down on the area adorned with high-end ceramic tiles. Then he picked her up and placed her on his jacket. This time, Selena didn’t refuse. After all, how often in one's life can one experience sitting on such an expensive suit belonging to Raymond? Moreover, she had just leveraged his reputation to secure an order from Alan.
Sensing her softened attitude, Raymond leaned in to kiss her. The two of them, one standing and the other sitting, kiss for fifteen minutes until Raymond heard his phone ringing. It must be the business partner calling since he hadn't returned yet. He released her.
With her forehead resting against his shoulder, breathing hard, she smelled the faint, crisp scent of pine on him, feeling as though her soul was being sucked away by him.
Right by her ear, Raymond pressed the answer button and said, "I'll be right there."
After hanging up, he gently patted her back.
Because she was leaning against his chest, she could feel, through the thin fabric, his chest vibrating slightly as he spoke.
He asked, " Who’s with you tonight?"
"Just me," she replied.
Knowing that Raymond had social obligations to attend to, Selena stepped down.
Without a second thought, he tossed his expensive suit into a nearby trash bin. Such an expensive item was discarded without even batting an eye.
"Short hair looks good on you," he complimented her.
Selena, a bit embarrassed by the compliment and with her ears turning red, grabbed her purse and said, "Thank you."
Raymond, now wearing only a shirt, and Selena exit together. Just as he was about to ask John to take her home, they heard Lucas's voice.
"Penny."
Lucas's forehead was covered in sweat—apparently, after seeing off Alan, he rushed back worried about her.
His eyes shift to Raymond, and he politely greeted, "Mr. Montague."
The smile disappears from Raymond's eyes completely, and any lingering affection disperses instantly. Selena hadn’t expected Lucas to appear, and she heard Raymond scoff as he passed by them, his presence as sharp as a cold blade.
Unaware of what he did to provoke Raymond, Lucas was frightened into silence, simply moving to stand beside Selena.
As Raymond enters the private room again, everyone noticed that although he went out to take a call in his suit, he returned without it. Dressed in a white shirt and black pants, he looked particularly young—which wasn't surprising given his actual age.
"Mr. Montague, where's your suit?" asked the business associate, thinking he might have forgotten it and promptly offering to look for it.
Raymond smiled lightly and took a seat. "It got dirty, so I threw it away."
John, sitting next to him, keenly sensed Raymond's foul mood. Raymond always kept his emotions well hidden, maintaining a calm demeanor while dealing swiftly and ruthlessly with adversaries. He held his pride deep within. Few could stir his emotional tides.
John wondered if the president encountered someone while taking the call.
At the end of the meeting, when he headed to the restroom, he found Raymond's suit in the trash bin.
Raymond’s suits were always personally tailored, using the finest fabrics, and fully custom-made. Now, this costly garment lay crumpled in the trash.
John didn't say a word and quickly returned to the private room, just in time for Raymond to bid farewell to the business partners, and they parted ways.
When Raymond got into his car downstairs, the courteous smile on his face immediately vanished, and he irritably unbuttoned his shirt.
"John," he called out.
John turned around respectfully. "Mr. Raymond, what is it?"
Raymond frowned, hesitated for a few seconds, then spoke indifferently, "Never mind, just drive."
John dared not to pry further and silently stepped on the accelerator.
Raymond actually wanted to ask himself what these tangled emotions were all about.
Was it that a man inevitably developed a sense of possession after indulging in someone?
If that was the case, then it was to be expected.
It was not about liking her.
He couldn't possibly fancy someone else’s wife.
After ten times, he would probably tire of her.
