Zhou caught up from behind: "Professor Dorn, that story was really exciting."

I smiled: "If the story wasn't exciting, how could it attract people?"

"Five years ago, your wife died falling from high altitude. The parachute details matched your story exactly. Your son also died on the same day from bee venom poisoning."

"This... is really just a story?"

I sighed:

"Detective Zhou, I told you I used real names for better immersion."

"Would someone as righteous as me go down the path of crime?"

Zhou squinted at me suspiciously.

His stare made me increasingly irritated:

"Even if the story were true, could you find direct evidence? The law stipulates no torture to extract confessions. I wouldn't say a single word. What could you do to me?"

After speaking, I inwardly cursed myself.
