The Murder House Chapter 15

Next, pounding sounds came from the balcony side.

I immediately ran over to look.

The killer was using a hammer to smash the neighbor's window.

Bang after bang—within a few hits, the glass shattered.

The black raincoat, half his body leaning out, rain beating down, making noise.

Looked like he was determined.

I couldn't see the mother and child through the window.

Dead?

In such a short time, the killer couldn't have dismembered them.

Perhaps his target tonight was only me—the mother and child accidentally stumbled into this murder case.

Don't know where the courage came from.

I decided to confront him head-on.

I went into the room and took down all the torture devices hanging on the walls.

Through the balcony, I threw them at him one by one.

Murderer!

I'll kill you!

The axe flew over, hitting the killer's head perfectly.

He glared at me with furious eyes, trying desperately to climb over.

I grabbed whatever I could—flower pots, shoes, space heater, chairs...

Didn't matter what—anything I could throw, I threw.

At this point, the killer's entire body was outside.

One jump and he could kill me.

The rain intensified, beating my face so I couldn't open my eyes.

The killer looked down, weighing his options too.

If he fell, it would be fatal.

Rainstorm, pouring down. I held a mop, blocking his foot from entering my balcony territory.

He was getting impatient.

I didn't dare let my guard down.

Survival!

Right now, survival depended only on myself!

Everything within reach was already thrown.

The killer seemed to understand.

He prepared to jump.

I was extremely nervous, my last axe gripped tight.

If he came over, I'd fight him to the death.

I had a short knife tucked in the back of my waistband, razor-sharp.

Do or die—stab him once, twice.

Worst case, I'd claw his face, get his skin tissue DNA under my fingernails.

As long as I left evidence for police to catch the killer, I'd die with no regrets.
