The Murder House Chapter 7
Something was wrong.
Not a hallucination—someone was definitely testing the door with those knocks.
I quickly put down my phone and rushed to the bedroom to check the door camera feed.
But the moment I entered and approached the wall monitors, they suddenly went black.
Obviously, the camera outside had been destroyed.
The intermittent knocking immediately turned to pounding.
The killer seemed... angry...
I heard the sharp sound of a blade scraping against the metal door.
Every hair on my body stood on end.
After confirming the door was securely locked, I slowly backed up to the couch, not daring to breathe loudly.
Terror overwhelmed my reckless courage.
My opponent was a remorseless murderer and dismemberer, utterly brutal.
I immediately grabbed my phone, hesitating.
Should I text Officer Carter at the precinct?
Or notify the property manager, get a security guard up here?
Better to have backup than fight alone.
But my goal was to kill him myself, make him experience what my sister endured.
If the cops came, they'd arrest him. They'd never let me deal with him.
An eye for an eye wasn't allowed, but I couldn't suppress my rage.
Three years. It was time to settle this.
