The Paranormal Streamer Chapter 2

"It's okay, young man. There's nothing weird here. Don't overthink it."

"Uh, okay. Could you help me clean the room?" I was confused. I clearly saw something. Had the lady really not seen it? Or was she deliberately hiding something?

I held my nose. "Don't you smell that terrible odor?"

"Really? I don't smell anything," the lady said calmly.

I was puzzled. This strong rotting smell and the lady couldn't smell it? Whatever—no point saying more or she'd think I was crazy.

The lady took out a key to open the door. I watched her turn it for ages without success. A cold wind blew against my back, giving me goosebumps. "Why haven't you opened it yet?"

The lady suddenly said, "Young man, this door seems stuck!"

I almost wanted to bail right then. But with my years of exploration experience, I held my ground.

"Huh? How's that possible? This is the room."

When I looked up at the room number, I was stunned—we were at room 403!

The lady seemed to realize something and called out urgently, "Come on, we need to find 404 quick and get inside, or that thing will come out and we won't escape!"

I asked curiously, "That thing? What thing?"

The lady found 404 nearby and shouted, "Young man, quick! Get ready to go in!"

As soon as the lady opened the door, she pulled me inside and shut it. After closing the door, she kept patting her chest. I looked around the room—besides a large bed, there seemed to be nothing else. But everything was neat and tidy, as if it had just been cleaned.

Most importantly, the sheets weren't the usual motel white—they were red!

I asked the lady about it. She seemed evasive, saying there were no spare sheets for this room, so they'd replaced them with red ones.

I felt something wasn't right. Since arriving at this motel—the strange owner, this mysterious lady, the rotting smell, the white shadow—everything was beyond normal. Too bizarre.

My heart raced with excitement though. This might be my chance to go viral.

I wanted to prepare for tonight's stream. I told the lady, "You can go ahead. I'll clean up the rest myself. I'm tired."

The lady seemed afraid I'd question her further. She quickly stood up and turned to leave.

Standing at the door, she turned back: "Young man, if you hear any sounds tonight, don't open the door and go out. No matter what you hear calling you, don't leave!"

I thought, that's exactly what I'm waiting for! I couldn't wait for something to happen. I quickly agreed, "Okay."

The lady left.

I opened my phone. My follower chat was buzzing with excitement. I said tonight would definitely have some intense moments. Everyone was eagerly anticipating it.

I set up my phone on a stand, camera facing my bed, and plugged it in to charge. I was a bit tired—probably from the earlier fright—so I'd rest a bit and start exploring at midnight. That foul smell hit me again. Really annoying. I lifted the sheets but found nothing underneath. Then I discovered a bottle of air freshener in the drawer.

This was useful. I shook it—still had plenty. I opened it and sprayed around. The lemon scent was much better.

I lay on the bed for a short nap. In my drowsy state, I dreamed of a girl in a white dress calling my name.

In the dream, I wanted to go out and leave, but I remembered the lady's warning: don't go out. I shook my head vigorously, then jolted awake.

Sweat covered my body. I checked my phone—already past midnight. Almost forgot to start streaming. I went live and interacted with my followers. Suddenly, I needed to use the bathroom. I realized this room had nothing—just a bed. To use the bathroom, I'd have to go out into the hallway.

I couldn't exactly stream myself using the toilet. Taking my streaming phone, I gathered my courage and went out. Opening the door, that foul stench hit me again.

I found the bathroom next door. Not caring whether it was men's or women's, I rushed inside. No lights. Couldn't see anything. I used my phone flashlight and saw three stalls, all with closed doors.

I pushed the first door—damn, wouldn't open. Was it broken? My scalp tingled.

I tried the second door—still wouldn't open. When I tried the third, the door opened by itself. My livestream chat exploded with "WTF!" My heart raced.

I left my streaming phone on the sink and quickly did my business. When I came out to grab my phone, I heard dripping water. I asked the chat if they heard it. Everyone said yes. Probably just a faucet not turned off properly. But listening carefully, I realized the sound was coming from inside the second stall—the one I couldn't push open. Suddenly, something cold and liquid flowed out from under that door.

Holy crap—I ran out of the bathroom. That scared the hell out of me. If not for wanting those views, I'd have gone back to my room. Looking at my stream count—highest numbers ever. This gave me confidence. I continued exploring the hallway, then prepared to return to my room to regroup. Just after entering my room and analyzing those strange incidents with my viewers, I suddenly heard knocking.

Scared me. Who would knock at this hour? Could it really be...

My heart filled with dread. Any normal person would be frightened. Can't blame me for that. The knocking grew louder. I thought I'd shout to build courage: "Who the hell is it?!"

The sound suddenly stopped. The hallway fell silent again. As I prepared to stand up and investigate—bam! More pounding.

I couldn't take it. Whatever you are, I'll beat the crap out of you!

"Which asshole is that? Speak up or when I catch you, you're getting your ass kicked!"

Looking at the door, it was almost warped from the pounding.

Then I heard footsteps in the hallway. The door knocking stopped, replaced by the owner's voice: "Young man, you okay?"

Seeing it was the owner, I thought, you old bastard, not sleeping at this hour, daring to come to the ghost floor. You're something else.

"I'm fine. Was just on a phone call. Got a bit loud. Sorry about that."

The owner left and closed the door.

Nothing else strange happened until morning.
