ALPHA KING'S SECRET TRIPLETS Chapter 24: 24
Surprised and confused, I asked, “Why? What did I do wrong?”
She took a deep breath before speaking. “I remember the time when I served Luna Brave, Hunter's mother. When she was pregnant with him, she went through what you're going through. Nausea, extreme fatigue, rapid weight gain.”
I stared at her, beginning to grasp the direction of the conversation. “What does that have to do with me?”
Sibyl looked straight into my eyes. “Fierce, I'm almost certain you're pregnant.”
My mind tangled. Pregnant? The idea seemed absurd, but the connection to the symptoms was undeniable.
Sibyl continued, revealing the truth I feared. “You're pregnant, Fierce, and I'm sure it's Hunter's. However, Hunter has already chosen his Luna, and the pack's rule is clear: only the alpha couple can have offspring during this period. Your life is in danger.”

The news hit me like a lightning bolt, a dizzying mix of emotions between disbelief and dismay. Pregnant with Hunter? How could that be possible? And, on top of that, my life was now at risk due to the pack's strict rules.
“Sibyl, this can't be right. There must be a mistake.” My hands trembled as I tried to process the information.
Sibyl, with a serious look, responded, “Fierce, I know the signs. I saw Luna Brave go through this when she was pregnant with Hunter. And now I see the same symptoms in you.”
A lump formed in my throat as I struggled to find words. “But Hunter chose Zora. This doesn't make sense.”
Sibyl sighed. “Sometimes, the Moon Goddess has her own plans, Fierce. We can't control who we love or the consequences of it.”
The weight of the situation bore down on me, and a wave of nausea hit me. Sibyl supported me as I tried to maintain composure.
“I'm sorry, Fierce, but the rules are clear. If the pack finds out, they will consider your child a threat to Hunter's heir and, by extension, to the entire pack.”
“What should I do, then?” I murmured, fearing the answer.
Sibyl looked around, making sure we were away from prying ears. “You need to leave the pack, Fierce. Find a safe place to have your child.”
The idea of leaving everything behind, especially when my body craved rest and support, was overwhelming. “And if I refuse?”
Sibyl answered frankly, “Then, Fierce, you will not only jeopardize your own life but that of your child. Alastair will have no choice but to follow the rules.”
The reality of the situation hit harder, and I understood the seriousness of the dilemma. I, an ordinary wolf pregnant with the next destined Alpha King's child intended for another, facing an uncertain future.
“I'll leave.” The words came out in a resigned whisper.
Sibyl looked me in the eyes, showing compassion. “Find a safe place for yourself and the child you carry.”
I wondered if Hunter even knew about my condition.
“Should I... should I tell Hunter?” I asked, seeking guidance.
Sibyl hesitated before answering. “No, because if he knows, he'll have to make the decision about the child he carries. He's with Zora; he can't make an exception, and you know what will happen then.”
Aware of the implications, I took a deep breath, making a decision that would shape my destiny and that of the little being growing inside me.

The omega den was bathed in a soft twilight as Sibyl and I waited for the arrival of dawn. Sibyl organized some clothes and belongings for my imminent journey, while anxiety hung in the air like a constant shadow.
“You must go straight to Denver, but before that, stop by the cabin. You'll find what you need in Alastair's room drawer, Fierce. There are green papers called money. Use them wisely,” Sibyl said, handing me a small bag with folded papers.
“Sibyl, what should I do in Denver? And what is this 'money'?” My mind was filled with uncertainties.
Sibyl smiled with understanding. “Denver is just the beginning, Fierce. There, you'll find many things different from what we're accustomed to. Money is a form of exchange that humans use to acquire goods and services. In Alastair's cabin, there are several of these green papers that humans value. Take them; they may be useful.”
Confusion lingered in my eyes as I tried to process all the information. “And when I get there? What should I do?”
Sibyl reflected for a moment. “Trust the Moon Goddess, Fierce. She will guide your way. Answers will reveal themselves when you need them.”
Cierce, one of the omegas, entered the den, interrupting our conversation. “What are you two doing?”
Sibyl, quick in her response, asked back, “And you, what do you want?”
Cierce informed us that Hunter and Zora had returned. My heart raced, and a nervous look from Sibyl confirmed that it was time to act.
“We better go, Fierce. The pack is occupied with their arrival,” said Sibyl, pointing to the horizon, and I looked back one last time, seeing Hunter and Zora surrounded by the pack. Hunter gave a wide smile toward Zora and then covered her with the bear pelt we had fought together to pass his test. That gesture confirmed that I needed to forget him.
The path to Alastair's cabin was treacherous in the darkness, but Sibyl knew every inch of the forest. In the cabin, we went to the master bedroom, where Sibyl pointed to a drawer.
“There, Fierce, you'll find the green papers.”
Uncertain of what I was about to face, I opened the drawer and found the papers. “Money” felt strange in my hands, but I stored it, trusting in Sibyl's guidance and the Moon Goddess's promise.
We returned to the cabin entrance, where Cierce informed us that the situation with Hunter and Zora was unfolding. A silent exchange of looks between Sibyl and me confirmed that it was time to move forward.
“Are you ready, Fierce?” Sibyl asked, her expression serious.
Swallowing hard, I was ready to face the unknown and protect the life now pulsing within me, even if it meant exile from the only home I knew. “I'm ready.”
With one last look at the forest that had been my home, I embarked on an unknown journey, guided by the hope of a new life and faith in the Moon Goddess. The future was uncertain, but the challenge of facing it lay ahead of me.
