Black Rose in the Abyss Chapter 5

Bianca frowned. She couldn't just sit back and watch. With a flash of movement, she rushed into the dark alley.

Accompanied by muffled groans and screams, the drunken men were knocked to the ground by her, moaning in pain.

She took off her coat and covered the scantily clad girl.

"It's okay now."

When the girl lifted her face, Bianca froze.

It was Mia.

Suppressing the complex emotions in her heart, she calmly called an ambulance, sent her to the hospital, then called the police and cooperated with their statement.

By the time everything was handled, it was early morning. After thinking about it, she decided to go to the hospital to check.

She walked to the nurse's station. Just as she was about to ask for Mia's room number, a large hand grabbed her wrist viciously. The force was so strong it nearly crushed her bones.

Bianca winced in pain. Turning her head, she met Dante's furious eyes.

"You still dare to come here?" His voice suppressed his rage. "How could you let someone do that to Mia! After experiencing something like that, how is she supposed to live!"

"I told you, no matter what, the position of my wife will only be yours. Why do you have to be so ruthless?" Speaking of this, he seemed to lose all strength and lowered his head. "Bianca, you weren't like this before..."

"Back then, you were like Mia. Your eyes were so clean."

Bianca looked at him and suddenly laughed.

So he remembered. The old her was just a simple girl. If there was a choice, who would want their hands stained with blood?

She really wanted to ask him, did he remember why she used a knife for the first time?

It was to drag him out of that man-eating underground fighting ring alive!

She was fourteen that year. When she got the news, Dante had been locked up for a day and a night.

Since that unhappy parting at the hospital, Dante and Bianca stayed in their respective territories and didn't meet again.

Rumors in New York, however, never ceased. A headline, 【Mafia's New Flame Attacked Late at Night, Evidence Points to Bianca!】, completely tore apart the last shred of peace.

It wasn't until Godfather Corleone's seventieth birthday party that they crossed paths.

At that moment, Bianca was sitting on a velvet sofa in the corner, chatting idly with her best friend.

Then, Dante and Mia appeared, arm in arm.

Whispers from the crowd drifted over:

"See that? That's the new favorite. He just gave her a yacht a few days ago."

"Dante really spoils her. That pink diamond on her neck is priceless, and he just gave it to her. Bianca is truly history."

Bianca felt nothing, but Roxy rolled up her sleeves, ready to charge. "I'm going to tear that adulterous couple apart!"

Bianca gently held Roxy's wrist down. "Don't dirty your hands for them."

The next second, Mia's gaze locked onto Bianca. She immediately shrank into Dante's arms, her eyes full of fear.

Dante whispered comforts to her, then looked at Bianca with a complicated expression.

Falling into the eyes of those looking for drama, this scene immediately sparked a new round of whispers.

"Look how scared Miss Mia is. It seems the rumors are true."

"You can't force love. Using such underhanded methods is really classless."

"How is she any different from those crazy, jealous women? And we used to think she was somebody."

These discussions twisted her into a joke—a woman driven mad by a man's change of heart—negating all her achievements.

Not wanting to stay any longer, she got up and went to the restroom. However, in front of the sink, Mia blocked her path.

"Bianca, don't make things so awkward with Dante. After all, when the baby in my belly is born, it will have to call you Godmother."

Baby?

Bianca's knuckles turned white as she gripped the edge of the sink.

The kidnapping targeting her seven years ago had been brutal. It had damaged her body permanently, making it impossible for her to ever conceive.

Back then, Dante had held the frail Bianca, his eyes red. "I don't like kids. They're too noisy."

"I only want you, Bianca. I just need you to be well by my side."

The voice was still in her ears, piercing her heart.

Mia spoke innocently, "Speaking of which, I have to thank you, sister, for sending people to 'take care' of me a few days ago. That's how I ended up in the hospital and found out I was pregnant."

"Dante is very happy. He even picked a name for the baby. It's called 'Hope'."

Hearing this name, the color drained from Bianca's face instantly.
