My Brother is a CEO Tyrant Chapter 5
If I hadn't been gripping the desk tightly, I probably would have fallen to my knees at Grace's feet.
I choked out an angry roar: "Ethan!!"
That kick broke the last softness in my heart.
My vision gradually blurred, seeming to return to that hot summer of childhood.
Back then, I dragged a thick, cumbersome sack, struggling to move forward.
Passing an ice cream shop, looking at the dazzling array of sweet frozen treats, I couldn't help but swallow.
The owner saw me and waved me away impatiently: "Little beggar, get lost!"
I was long accustomed to such treatment.
Just as I was about to leave, a boy suddenly ran over and bought three ice creams.
The owner smiled and took the money. "Buying for your family? What a good kid."
The next second, the boy stuffed all the ice creams in my arms. "Eat them!"
The owner's expression immediately changed. Looking at the adult beside the boy, his face turned liver-colored.
I held the ice creams awkwardly. "No need, thank you."
But he grinned and returned to his elder's side, holding hands as they left.
I tore open the wrapper and carefully licked it. The sweet taste instantly filled my taste buds.
A taste I could never forget in this lifetime.
After entering this high school, I was fortunate enough to see him again.
His name was Ethan Foster—still so handsome and outstanding.
Ethan was the pride of the entire grade and the school heartthrob.
But he'd become unrecognizable. That clear heart had become filthy, using the most vicious words to mock me.
I even felt the Ethan from childhood had died.
The Ethan before me was just an impostor.
Grace looked down at me condescendingly. "If you liked it, I could have let you wear it for a few days. Why did you have to steal my watch?"
Classmates gasped. Finally, someone couldn't help but scold: "Our class has a thief. This isn't a small matter!"
"Call the police! We must call the police. We absolutely can't let her go!"
A tennis ball suddenly emerged from the crowd and hit my arm hard.
