Seducing the Mafia Boss Chapter 19
Lucas told me to handle my own business first.
The company—he'd help watch over it.
I didn't even have time to express thanks before hurrying off with the bodyguard.
The whole journey passed in a daze. When I came to my senses, I was already on the ocean.
Looking at the enemies fully armed on the ship, I only felt my throat dry.
No wonder they could intercept Ethan's ship.
No matter how capable Ethan was, how could he match hot weapons?
The enemy leader made a round of inspection, finally locking his gaze on me.
Then, in less than standard Mandarin, he asked me:
"You're Ethan Reed's woman, his... weakness?"
I looked at his eyes and for the first time frankly nodded.
"I am."
As I thought, these leaders felt I was just a woman with no killing power and agreed to let me board the ship.
Amid waves of strong fishy smell, Ethan leaned against the deck.
Dark red blood continuously dripped from his lowered hair.
I couldn't see his face clearly, could only smell the increasingly strong and pungent bloody smell in the air.
My heart ached as never before. I could barely hold back tears.
"Ethan, does it hurt..."
Ethan's drooping fingertips trembled, subconsciously wanting to look up at me.
Remembering his current appearance, he hastily avoided my gaze, only saying in a hoarse voice:
"It's dangerous here. You shouldn't have come."
He didn't want me in danger, but I also didn't want him to face these difficulties alone.
I held back tears and shook my head, wanting to embrace him but truly not knowing how to avoid his wounds all over.
"Ethan, I'd rather die with you than live alone."
This should have been the confession Ethan had long anticipated.
But for some reason, he didn't respond for a long time.
Just as my heart was uncontrollably tightening, Ethan suddenly moved.
He lunged forward, hugging me back with even greater force, then turned with me.
"Victoria, I know when you approached me it was deliberate. Saving me was also to leave me."
"But none of that matters."
"I just want you to know that I, Ethan Reed, am truly willing to die for you."
