The Blind Little Husband Chapter 7

Charlotte, that little tattletale, worked fast. At the family dinner not long after, various Foster family relatives began denouncing me.

First were Charlotte's parents—my uncle and aunt, who'd always had wolf-like ambitions and coveted the Foster family business.

Charlotte's father slammed the table.

"Sophia Foster, you're becoming more and more lawless! You actually attacked Charlotte publicly at the cocktail party! I've never laid a finger on her since she was born, and you dare hit her?"

I sat down calmly with Wyatt, unmoved.

"Uncle, calm down. Careful you don't have a heart attack. You haven't had time to discipline your daughter, so I kindly helped. No need to thank me."

My uncle clutched his chest in rage.

"You, you—is this how you talk to your elders? Such audacity! Sophia Foster, you even dare bring a lowly beast slave to a family dinner. What right does he have to attend!"

Wyatt's fist flew out.

"What are you to dare yell at my master?"

My uncle stumbled back and collapsed into a chair, his face going from pale to paler.

"No respect for elders, no respect! Second brother, is this how you raise your daughter!"

Charlotte's mother chimed in sarcastically.

"Second brother, you must give us an explanation. Why should our daughter be bullied? To compensate Charlotte, you should give us five percent of the company shares and that beast slave. Then this matter can be forgotten."

My parents calmly glanced at Charlotte's parents.

"Brother, sister-in-law, what's this about? Such big talk, so arrogant in my Foster home. I heard there are problems with the branch company accounts recently, someone secretly buying and selling company shares. It should be thoroughly investigated."

"As for Wyatt, my daughter wants him at the family dinner, so he's Foster family. If you don't want to sit here, then get out!"

Seeing my parents angry, Charlotte's parents cowered like deflated quails, stopping their troublemaking.

Charlotte watched all this resentfully. Suddenly she stood and threw food from her plate at Vincent, who'd been standing outside, like feeding a dog.

"He's just an animal. How dare he eat at the table with me? Dog, I'm giving you food out of kindness. Look at your own status!"

Vincent bent down to pick up the food that had fallen on the floor. His exposed wrist showed old and new scars layered on top of each other.

"Thank you for the reward, master!"

When Vincent first arrived, I'd noticed the scars on his body.

I'd heard that after the cocktail party ended, Charlotte had taken out all her frustration on Vincent.

She'd ordered people to hang Vincent up and beat him for three days and nights, then locked him in a dog cage.

Today, Charlotte was publicly humiliating Vincent again.

From what I knew of Vincent's vindictive nature, he'd probably already planned out Charlotte's death in detail.

Suddenly, a pair of burning hands fell on me, gently kneading and massaging my waist.

I looked back to meet Wyatt's unchanged expression.

"Is he better looking than me? Or can he make master feel better?"

This man was getting bolder and bolder, speaking without restraint.

I warned him with my eyes to behave, but his movements only became more presumptuous.

Charlotte seemed to sense something, her gaze traveling between Wyatt and me.

"Cousin, why is your face so red? Is the food not to your liking, or have you done something guilty?"
