The Crimson Game Chapter 5

2 min 108.3K views

Seated at table seven was an extremely ugly middle-aged man.

The right side of his skull was split wide open.

If you looked down, you could see his grayish-white brain matter.

Chunks of red flesh clung to the surrounding skin.

I forced down the rising nausea and bent slightly.

"Honored guest, welcome to Horror Restaurant. What would you like to order?"

The man looked up, examining me from head to toe.

"Another pathetic human. You people smell disgusting."

You're mocking me? Believe me, I'll lose it and take you down!

But no matter what he said, I had to endure it. The game notes clearly stated: The customer is always right.

I forced myself to maintain a smile through the discomfort. "I apologize, sir. I'll make sure to wash thoroughly tonight."

The middle-aged man grabbed his chopsticks and rapidly tapped his bowl, glaring at me viciously, as if he'd tear me apart any second.

"Fries, burger, cola. Hurry up!!!"

My expression tightened. The ketchup with the fries was red. The tomato in the burger was red.

If I served what he ordered, would I be killed instantly?

These goddamn rules!

I bent even lower, my smile taking on a pleading quality.

"Sir, the restaurant didn't receive tomato deliveries today. May I substitute the ketchup and tomatoes with honey mustard and double cheese? The price won't change, and you'll get twice the rich, delicious cheese. I guarantee you'll enjoy it."

The middle-aged man's eyebrows lifted.

"Oh? Then hurry up and bring it!"

"Right away, sir."

As I walked toward the kitchen, I sneaked a glance back.

The middle-aged man was rubbing his hands together excitedly, waiting for his food.

I grabbed the order slip and quickly wrote at the bottom: "Note: Must be Pepsi"

I exhaled deeply. Good thing I'm clever. Ha! Wasn't that easy to handle?

The surrounding players stared wide-eyed at my smooth operation.

From their expressions, I could tell they thought I was brilliant.

Soon, I carried the tray to the man's table.

The man's eyes lit up at the sight of the food.

After wolfing it down, he wiped the food residue from his mouth.

His voice rose a few notes. "You're an honest human. The food was delicious."

He lumbered away toward the exit.
