When He Stopped Loving Me Chapter 21
Hearing these horrific truths, Ethan's drunkenness evaporated by half!
He went ice cold, as if plunged in frozen water!
He'd always thought Rachel just had small-minded tendencies, some greed—never imagining she'd done such unconscionable, horrific things to Claire behind his back!
And he'd been kept completely in the dark, even repeatedly hurting and forcing Claire for this viper!
Thinking of Claire's suffering and despair then, Ethan's heart felt torn apart by countless hands, pain nearly stopping his breath! His disgust and hatred for Rachel reached its peak in that moment!
He shot up from the sofa, stormed into the bedroom, and roughly yanked sleeping Rachel awake!
"Ah!" Rachel woke terrified, looking at Ethan's twisted face. "Ethan... what are you doing?!"
Ethan's eyes were ice cold, looking at her like repulsive garbage, voice carrying bone-deep chill: "Rachel, I know everything you did. I must have been blind! Tomorrow, my lawyer will handle divorce proceedings. I'll give you money—enough for the rest of your life. But from now on, don't appear before me again!"
Rachel was completely stunned. After processing, she immediately cried and begged: "No! Ethan! No! I was wrong! I'll never do it again! For the child's sake, forgive me this once! I can't live without you!"
"Forgiveness?" Ethan sneered coldly, shaking off her hand. "I regret ever meeting you, regret being with you! Looking at your face disgusts me!"
Rachel was shattered by his merciless words, screaming: "Ethan Pierce! You're inhuman! I gave you a son, spent years with you! Now you see Claire's doing well and regret it—you want to kick me aside?! Dream on! I'll never divorce!"
"That's not up to you!" Ethan had completely lost patience. He called guards who, despite Rachel's crying and fighting, forcibly dragged her from the villa into the cold night.
After dealing with Rachel, Ethan's mind churned chaotically, but more than anything was a twisted sense of "relief."
As if clearing a massive obstacle, he could now... start over?
This thought made his heart race.
Like grasping a last straw, he immediately used various connections, struggling through obstacles, finally obtaining what was allegedly Claire's current private number.
He took a deep breath, carrying almost devout nervousness and anticipation, dialing.
The phone rang for a long time before being answered. But the voice was warm, pleasant—and male. It made Ethan's blood freeze instantly: Sebastian Hart.
"Hello, who's calling?" Sebastian's tone was polite.
Ethan's throat tightened, voice hoarse: "I... I'm looking for Claire Morrison. I'm Ethan Pierce."
Silence on the other end, then Sebastian remained warm yet carried undeniable distance, speaking clearly: "I'm sorry, Mr. Pierce. Claire just finished a rehearsal and is resting. It's inconvenient to take calls."
He paused, tone shifting to polite warning: "Also, as Claire's boyfriend, I hope you understand—the past is past. Let it completely turn the page. Please don't disturb her peaceful life now. Goodbye."
Before Ethan could respond, the call was decisively ended.
