Chosen By The Cursed Alpha King Chapter 51

6 min 1 views

The blood moon rose.

I felt it before I saw it—like a blade sliding slow and merciless beneath my skin, splitting me open from the inside. Heat, sharp and unrelenting, spread through my chest until I could hardly breathe. My lungs dragged at the air, my ribs aching with every inhale, every exhale.

Then it began.

The first wave.

A violent shudder ripped through me, throwing my body forward against the chains. They clattered, groaned, the iron biting into my wrists as if to remind me—monster, prisoner, cursed.

I roared, a raw sound, tearing from my throat until it scraped my lungs raw. My head snapped back, veins bulging as fire seared its way beneath my skin. It was always fire. Fire licking at my nerves, eating through muscle, burning me alive from the inside out.

The chains rattled again as I convulsed, fighting them though I knew there was no use. Still, I fought. Still, I pulled until the flesh around my wrists split open, warm blood slicking the cuffs. My knees buckled, slamming into the stone floor, but the beast inside me refused to let me stay down.

'Let me out.'

The voice came sharp, guttural, echoing in my head like thunder.

'Let me out! We are not meant for chains. We are not meant for cages. Tear them apart. Rip them down. Free me.'

I grit my teeth, blood running between them as they stretched, lengthened, sharpened. Pain shot through my jaw, bone splitting with a sick crack. I screamed again, though it sounded less like a man's scream and more like something inhuman clawing its way out of my chest.

My nails blackened, thickened, curving into claws that scraped against the stone. Fur erupted along my arms, tearing through my skin in patches, each strand a reminder that I was no longer myself. My nose bled freely now, blood running hot down my lips, dripping onto the floor where it smeared beneath my knees.

The chains rattled louder, every thrash echoing through the chamber like war drums.

'You are weak.' The beast growled inside me, voice low and taunting. 'You think you hold me down. You think you can chain me. But I am you. I am stronger. I am what you were meant to be. Let me kill. Let me feed. Let me free us both.'

"Shut up," I snarled, though the words came out slurred, broken, half-growl. My voice wasn't mine anymore—it was ours. A blending of man and monster, until even I couldn't tell the difference.

I pulled again, the cuffs slicing deeper into my wrists. Blood slicked the chains, ran in rivulets down my arms, dripping from my elbows to the stone beneath. The scent was heavy in the air, metallic, intoxicating. My beast thrashed harder, feeding off it, drunk on the smell of blood—my own or anyone's, it didn't matter.

The moonlight slanted through the small window, painting the room in silver. I felt it the moment the blood moon revealed its full face in the sky. The surge was instant, unstoppable, like a tidal wave slamming into my chest.

My spine cracked.

I screamed as vertebrae shifted, snapped, realigned. My back arched violently, muscles tearing and stitching themselves into something new. My shoulders bulged, skin splitting as thick cords of muscle swelled, veins running like rivers of fire. I collapsed forward, then jerked upright again, every inch of me trembling with agony.

"AHHHHHHHH!" The roar tore out of me, shaking the walls.

Sweat drenched me, slicking my hair to my forehead, mixing with the blood that streaked my face. My vision blurred, then bled into red until all I saw was hunger. My fangs pushed further, slicing my lips, the coppery taste of my own blood pooling in my mouth.

I fell. My knees cracked against the stone again, but I didn't stay down. The beast wouldn't let me. It forced me back up, spine lengthening, chest heaving, claws scraping deep gouges into the floor.

The pain was endless. A cycle. Crack, tear, heal. Crack, tear, heal. Over and over until I was nothing but raw nerves and fire.

"LET—ME—OUT!" The words burst from me, half-man, half-monster, spit and blood flying with them.

The chains sang, groaning beneath the force of my thrashing. My shoulders slammed back, muscles bulging as I yanked with everything I had, the iron cutting deeper. I felt the cuffs grinding into bone now, but still I pulled. Still, I fought.

Because the alternative was surrender.

And I could never surrender.

My body jerked again, head snapping forward. My teeth split further, jaws elongating, muzzle forcing its way out as my scream twisted into a guttural roar. My ears rang with the sound of bones snapping—my own ribcage expanding, my legs shifting, reshaping. My skin tore open across my chest, fur spilling through like a thousand needles.

I couldn't breathe. Couldn't think. My humanity clawed to hold on, but the beast was stronger. It had always been stronger.

'Yes,' it purred inside me, voice thick with satisfaction. 'Finally. Finally, you stop fighting me. Finally, I am free.'

I slammed my head back, roaring so loud it shook the chains, the stone, my very bones. My knees hit the ground again, but I surged up instantly, no longer weak, no longer breaking. The beast pushed, forced, dominated.

And then—

It was over.

I stood, not as a man, but as the monster.

My Lycan form towered in the chamber, muscles stretched against fur so dark it gleamed in the faint moonlight. My chest heaved, claws curled into fists, saliva dripping from my snarling mouth. My black eyes burned, glowing, wild, ravenous.

I yanked against the chains again, fury rolling off me in waves. The cuffs dug deep, bone scraping iron, but they held.

I roared, the sound beastly, furious, shaking the chamber like thunder. My body slammed forward, every muscle screaming to kill, to hunt, to taste blood. The blood moon raged in my veins, filling me with hunger so sharp I could taste it on my tongue.

Blood. That was all I wanted. All I craved.

The hunger was unbearable, the chains the only thing between me and slaughter. I pulled again, the stone floor cracking beneath my claws. Drool dripped from my snarling mouth as my breaths came fast, rabid, feral.

But the chains held.

And I was left thrashing, howling, a monster shackled in iron.

A beast caged like he deserved to be.

I jerked forward again, slamming my body into the restraints until my flesh split open around the cuffs. Blood spattered the stone, the air thick with its scent. My nostrils flared, my tongue dragging across my fangs. Hunger clawed at me, deeper, deeper, until I thought I would go mad from it.

I snapped my jaws, snarling, the sound guttural, rage-filled. My body shook with the effort, fur bristling, muscles swelling as the blood moon poured more power into me. It didn't end. It never ended.

This was my torment.

To be too strong to control. Too monstrous to cage. Too cursed to be free.

Every heartbeat screamed with agony. Every breath was fire.

I was no king here.

No ruler. No man.

Only the beast.
