My Ex-Boyfriend Regretted It After We Broke Up Chapter 8
"Julian? Why are you..."
He didn't let me finish. Wrapping a storm of anger around him, he marched into the elevator, grabbed my wrist, and physically dragged me out.
Ignoring my struggles, Julian gritted his teeth.
"Chloe, I announce that you win. I agree to whatever demands you have. Just stop this cold war right now."
I looked at him like he was an alien.
"Julian, do you not understand English? How many times do I have to say we are broken up before you leave me alone?"
He stared at me deeply, acting as if he hadn't heard a word.
He tightened his grip on my wrist and tried to force me toward his silver sedan.
Gabriel rushed forward. He grabbed my other arm.
"She doesn't want to go with you," Gabriel said coldly.
Sensing that I was fighting to get closer to Gabriel, Julian’s mouth became a thin line.
He sneered at Gabriel.
"You know Chloe and I are practically married, right? She accepted my proposal. She is my wife. What right does an outsider like you have to interfere?"
Gabriel’s grip on my hand tightened.
Before he could retort, I laughed coldly at Julian.
"Gabriel is my boyfriend. My business is his business. As for you—you’re a disgusting ex who won't take a hint. Where do you get the nerve to yell at my boyfriend?"
As soon as the words left my mouth, Sienna stepped out of Julian’s car.
She was wearing a hospital gown. She leaned weakly against Julian, blinking her innocent eyes.
"Chloe... you were flirting with this man at the party, and now you’re breaking Julian’s heart for him? Are you really so loose that you hooked up with another man in less than two months? Oh my god..."
Loose. Hooked up.
I smiled.
"Sienna, look how much you care about him. Honestly, you two are a match made in hell. I sincerely hope you get married and stay together forever."
Hearing my calm blessing, Julian’s face turned an ugly shade of gray.
Sienna’s eyes flashed with secret delight. She opened her mouth to pour more gasoline on the fire.
But Julian, seeing me standing with Gabriel, suddenly shoved Sienna away.
She hit the concrete hard, scraping her knees. She looked confused.
Julian ran toward me, panic in his voice.
"Chloe! Sienna and I are not what you think. She’s only in my car because she fainted, and I had to take her to the hospital..."
I laughed. "Why are you telling me this?"
Seeing I wasn't angry, he relaxed slightly. "I just want you to know, there is only you in my heart."
He reached out to touch my face.
Gabriel suddenly pulled me into his embrace, staring at Julian with a warning in his eyes.
"Chloe is my girlfriend. Watch yourself."
Before I could thank Gabriel for playing along, Julian grabbed Gabriel’s collar and punched him in the face.
Gabriel could have dodged. But to protect me, he stood his ground and took the hit.
SMACK!
A crisp slap echoed through the parking garage immediately after the punch.
Julian froze. His head was turned to the side from the force of my slap.
He stood motionless for ten seconds, then slowly turned to look at me, his eyes losing focus.
"Chloe... are you crazy?"
