The Alpha and his Panther Mate Chapter 26

ALPHA DEREK

I was not expecting Elder Johnson to be back here, well not for the next few weeks but after the incident with Linda, I'm not surprised but I thought it would have been at least a few days afterwards. I wonder if he really left the pack like he said he did.

The old man who is always in a lined suit looked at me “So where is your son?” he asks, trying to sound in charge.

I growl “Mind how you talk to me” I say.

“I will speak to you how I like in this office when we are alone but I know my place when I'm outside. So I will ask again where is your son?” he snarls.

My wolf is on the verge of ripping out his throat out but we both know we can’t. We owe this arsehole for saving us back in the past; we could have lost our pack. We also know many have suffered after it due to this man all because of my stupid actions.

I growl but don’t answer him.

I know Blake is on his way but this arrogant ass can wait.

“So, why are you here?” I ask, trying to find out the real reason why he is here while taking my seat behind my desk.

He looks at me and sits in front of me with a smug look on his face “I have a matter to discuss with him; I think it will be beneficial to him if he accepts.”

I looked at him. That doesn’t sound good. It has to be about Izzy. “Well!” I snarl “Are you going to tell me?”

He doesn’t.

“Dad, I’m here. I just had a change of clothes off mum, I will be there in a second” says Blake suddenly, his voice rings out in my head.

I look at Elder Johnson “He just arrived, he will be here soon.”

Elder Johnson smiles but doesn’t say anything.

Within a second of telling him about Blake, Blake walks in.

He doesn’t look happy to see him.

BLAKE

Stepping into the office and seeing both men stare at me was intense but I really am not in the mood for this guy. My father looked like he wanted to murder Elder Johnson but Elder Johnson looked happy to see me.

“Ah young alpha, it is so good to see you again” he says and stands up while holding out his hand to me.

I look at his hand but due to being the next alpha, I have to be professional about this whole thing I shake his hand “Likewise” I say, thrugh gritted teeth.

He takes his seat again and I sit on the other chair next to him.

“What is this about Elder Johnson?” I ask cutting straight to the point.

He looks at me and smiles “Someone wants to get down to business I see” he says “Very well, I wanted to know if you have found your mate yet?”

I look at him but shake my head “No, I haven’t.” I say lying through my teeth. I can feel my father’s eyes on me as he only recently found out about Izzy but I think he can understand why I am lying to Elder Johnson as he hasn’t said anything.

Elder Johnsons looks at me and gives me a big smile “Well, I think you should chose a mate and I have the perfect person to be your Luna” he says to me.

Axel is growling in my head and is ready to rip his throat out for even mentioning such a thing. He is already in love with Puna and Izzy.

“I am not taking another, I am waiting for my mate” I say, through gritted teeth.

“I was hoping you would take Kacey as your mate” he says, suddenly which takes both my father and I by surprise.

I couldn't help the laugh that escapes of my mouth.

He looks at me, startled and confused “What’s so funny?” he says.

I look over to my father who has a smug look on his face as he recently found out that Kacey prefers girls to men, he walked in on her making out with Chelsea. Let’s say all three were left red faced and hasn’t said a word since.

“Elder Johnson, I can assure you that I am definitely not Kacey’s type. Also I don’t love her as a mate, more like a sister” I say trying to keep a straight face.

Elder Johnson stared at me and became serious all of a suden.

“I have heard about what happened in the cafe regarding my daughter and that panther girl” he says suddenly.

The way he mentions Izzy makes Axel stand up and growl in my head.

I look towards my father who has a blank expression on his face.

That was fast, it hasn’t even been eight hours since the incident happened.

But the realization dawns on me, we have a traitor in our pack or someone is spying on us. Someone has been watching everything that has been going on here. They are going back telling him what they have seen but for how long.

I do not like this one bit.

“The matter has been dealt with” I say to him, startling him.

He looks at me “What do you mean it has been dealt with?” He says “I want that panther either put in the cells or I will deal with her myself.”

“You can’t do that!” I snarl “You are an elder; you have no authority over the way we run our pack especially when it comes to pack members.”

“I would watch who you are speaking to young alpha. She’s not a pack member if I remember rightly” he says with a hint of a smile “So I do have authority over her. I can take her away and prison her for attacking a wolf.”

“You would do that to your son in law’s daughter” growls my father, glaring at him.

Elder Johnson nods “I would, she has nothing to do with him and if I am correct in saying this she doesn’t want anything to do with him after what he did” he says.

Axel is up on all fours growling loudly in my head again, wanting to tear this piece of crap a new asshole for talking about our mate like this.

My father’s aura is coming through, he is pissed.

My father snarls loudly.

Elder Johnson could sense the tension in the air “I think I should go but Blake I really would think about taking my granddaughter as your Luna. If you do, I might even consider leaving the panther girl alone” he says.

There is a few things wrong with that statement and I know Kacey hasn’t agreed to this, she would rather gain a cock than be with a guy.

“You would make your granddaughter do this?” I ask him, he looks serious at me, his face stern “Well, she will do what is needed of her. She wants to be Luna, you will have to take her as a mate or I can suggest something else, I could have a little chat with the other elders and may insinuate that Alpha Drake will take over your position as alpha to this pack instead of you, I could tell them the panther girl attacked one the pack members and you didn't do anything about it but that's if you don’t take Kacey as your Luna” he says “It is all in the name of the pack. You have to have a wolf as a mate. What is that panther girl to you? Something you can play, she is such a gorgeous girl just like her mother.”

I growl loudly "That will never happen, I won't agree to any of it" I shout, my anger sweeping through me in waves, Axel is ready to shift and kill this piece of shit.

He can’t do this!

Izzy doesn’t deserve this!

He can’t blackmail me!

He is already willing to blackmail his granddaughter. She won’t be happy when she hears about it.

My father is now pissed off as much as I am, I can feel it rolling off him.

“Hell no, I have heard enough. You will not suggest such things to him. Get out of my office NOW!!” roars my father.

Elder Johnson is stunned but quickly recovers “I wouldn’t act like that” he says with a snarl as he gets to his feet; he looks at both of us.

He turns to leave but looks over his shoulder “I would agree to my rule young alpha or your little panther friend is leaving with me the next time I come and I won’t take no as an answer” he says, walking towards the door.

But before he goes through the door, he looks at us over his shoulder “I am taking a trip somewhere. I would like to know what your answer when I return” he says and goes through the door.

I let out a loud roar.

I am angry.

He cannot do this!

Axel is on edge and wants to kill someone but there is a huge list of people that is forming in our heads.

We can’t do that to Izzy or Kacey.

We need to come up with something fast.

ELDER JOHNSON

I can hear the loud roar coming from the young alpha.

I will get what I want.

As I leave, I can see Luna Lauren go into the office, glaring at me.

I smile.

Little Panther you will be out of here to meet your doom but if that plan doesn’t work, I have one up my sleeve. I will have to make another deal with Helga again like I did the day Graham rejected that pathetic panther mate.

As I am out of the pack house door, I climb into the SUV. A text message comes through:

“I WILL HAVE HER SOON BUT THAT ALPHA NEEDS TO BE GONE”

He is pissed, he watched him with her earlier, thats how I knew.
