Fuck.

I stare at the bathroom door that Izzy went through.

I rub my hand over my face.

“Mate wanted us,” says Axel with his tongue hanging out.

“I know, but she's not ready to mate, I can tell,” I say back to him while I walk back to the bed.

The door opens with a nurse walking in; she looks at me with a smile “Alpha Blake, here are the fresh clothes you asked for,” she says as she hands me the bag with the clothes in.

I mind-linked my mother to get them for me. She didn’t want to disturb us; that's why the nurse brought them in.

I quickly get dressed. I can hear Izzy in the bathroom.

The bathroom door opens after a few moments, and Izzy walks out. I can’t help but stare at her. She is one gorgeous woman.

She looks at me and smiles. “Shall we go now?” she says to me while she holds out her hand to me.

I nod and get up from the bed while placing my hand in hers.

We both leave the hospital room and head straight out.

“Are we going straight to the meeting?” She asks as she looks ahead.

I look at her and come to a stop, turning her to look at me. “We will, but I need to know what happened back there,” I ask her.

I know Puna and Izzy are not telling Axel and me everything. Something seems off with both of them, and it's not due to the dark magic they consumed from Helga.

Izzy doesn’t say anything, she looks at me, but she sighs suddenly. “Nothing, I consumed Helga’s emotions; it feels weird because they are not my feelings. It is hard to judge when or what happened to her,” she says, and she squeezes my hand and steps closer to me. “Blake, I would never put you or our pack in danger,” she says.

I can’t help the smirk that appears on my face “Our pack, hey,” I say as I place my other hand on her waist.

She gulps. “I...I mean, we are mates, so.....” she says but shakes her head.

I can hear Axel laugh in my head as he watches Izzy with an amused look on his face. “Mate is adorable when she is nervous,” he says.

“Izzy,” I say as I move my head closer to her neck; I breathe in her scent, which calms Axel instantly. I place a kiss on her neck. Izzy shivers at the touch.

“I want you to be comfortable with me,” I say softly; I move away from her and look at her face, which has gone a slight red color on her cheeks.

I smirk, loving the fact that I can affect her this much.

“How about this?” I say, “After the meeting, You and I have a date in the garden and take a walk near the lake.”

Izzy looks at me and smiles. “You mean an actual date,” she says. “I mean no interruptions or anything.”

“Well, I can’t say anything to interruptions as we never know but,” I say as I move a strand of her hair from her face, placing it behind her ear, “I will make sure we have some alone time, I think Allie has made herself a sleepover with my parents.”

Izzy’s eyes go wide “She is staying with your parents, Blake, I don’t....” she says, but I place my finger on her lips to stop her talking.

I smile. “She will be with my parents, but also Kat and Todd are there too with them as Allie wants to have a pancake and ice cream party.”

She frowns. “Who agreed to that?” She asks.

But my face said it all as she smiled when she looked at me. “She is going to have you wrapped around her finger,” she says.

“She already has,” says Axel in my head, “Pup can have whatever she wants in my eyes.”

I can’t help but smile.

Suddenly a mind link comes through. “Blake, where are you and Izzy too?” Says my father, “We have everyone in the office now.”

“We will be there soon, Dad,” I say and shut down the mind link.

I look back at Izzy, who looks at me with a frown. “Who was that?” She asks.

“My father was letting me know that everyone is in the office for the meeting,” I said. “They are waiting for us.”

Izzy nods and turns to leave, but I pull her back; I wrap my hands around her waist. Her eyes go wide as she looks up at me. I can’t help but place a passionate kiss on her lips. She closes her eyes.

I move back as her eyes open; her eyes stare back. “What was that for?” She asks as she tries to compose herself.

“I wanted to kiss you,” I say as I hover over her mouth.

“We need to get to the office, or everyone will be pissed.” she gulps, but I press another tender kiss to her lips. I move back.

She doesn’t say anything, but I move away from her slightly with her hand in mine. We walk next to each other.

We don’t take that long to get to the packhouse. A few pack members are looking at us as we get closer; they bow as we walk past them.

We make it to the office, I open the door, and we are met with loads of eyes looking at us.

I look at everyone, some faces have smiles and others have smirks as they notice our hands in each other.

Someone clears their throat; I look towards my father, who smiles. “Let’s get this meeting underway; we need to protect the pack,” he says.

Both Izzy and I walked to the table and took our seats next to each other, while Dale was on my other side and Alice was next to Izzy.

Izzy looks at Alice, “Where is Allie?” She asks, “Is she in the nursery?”

Alice looks at both of us and smiles, “Little Peanut is in the nursery, but I think Kacey realized how much the little devil loves pancakes,” she says with a smirk looking at Kacey, who frowns.

“She had me make her loads, but because I never put in chocolate chips, she cried. I had to make another batch,” she says. She glares at me. “You could have told me before I left.”

I grin. “I would have thought Alice would have said something or Allie,” I said, but I turned to look at Izzy, but my father cleared his throat. “Everyone settle down, let's get this meeting underway,” he says.
