The Fearless Chapter 3

Hell's Apartment, Eighteenth Floor entrance.

Before me stood an ominous, sinister double door.

A bloody human skin stood by the doorway, freshly flayed, standing in human shape.

The peephole was made from an actual human eyeball that seemed alive, wriggling left and right before locking its gaze directly on me.

"Hello? Any ghosts home?"

I strode forward boldly and knocked. Inside, eerie laughter echoed, but no one opened the door.

"VIP coming through! Everyone move aside!"

I reached out and ripped away the human skin blocking my path.

Then I gouged out the eyeball from the peephole.

The tightly sealed door unlocked from inside. It swung open.

"Wow, looks pretty scary in there. I'm so excited~"

Rubbing my hands together eagerly, I jumped right in.

The moment I crossed the threshold, the door behind me crashed shut and locked tight.

The livestream viewers had already started a death countdown for me.

The interior was a large open-plan space, but there were no lights—total darkness.

Candelabras on the walls burst into ghostly green flames, bathing the entire living room in an eerie, dark green glow, making everything feel colder.

I stared wide-eyed and noticed the floor, walls, and ceiling were covered in countless tiny black footprints.

"Hehehe~ A new toy has arrived~"

A little girl in a bright red dress, barefoot, hung upside down from the ceiling, letting out a chilling laugh.

[It's the Ghost Child! S-rank demon! This Maya girl's about to get wrecked!]

[The Ghost Child loves playing games with people. But if you refuse to play, she won't attack as easily. Whatever you do, don't agree!]

"Let's play hide-and-seek. If you can't find me within three minutes, you'll end up like that."

The Ghost Child pointed toward the wall, where a row of corpses stood preserved as specimens, lined up like mannequins in a display window.

I pulled my gaze back and rubbed my hands together eagerly. "What if I do find you?"

The Ghost Child's pitch-black mouth split into a grin, revealing rows of shark-like teeth. "If you find me, you can do whatever you want with me."

Whoosh~

As soon as she finished speaking, the Ghost Child transformed into a ball of flesh and slammed into my abdomen. Instead of knocking me over, she burrowed inside my stomach.

"I'm in your belly now. To find me, you'd have to cut open your stomach, which would kill you."

"But if you don't cut open your stomach, you'll never find me. After three minutes, you'll die anyway. Hehehe, feel the terror of death approaching!"

My stomach gradually swelled up as the Ghost Child's triumphant voice echoed from inside.
