WILD PLEASURE {short erotic stories} Chapter 88: Fired Up (14)
Waking up in bed with Cole was sexy—even if they didn’t quite fit on her mattress. The added layer of closeness was definitely no hardship. At some point during the night, he’d wrapped his arms around her and tugged her head onto his chest. At least, that was her preferred theory and she was sticking to it. The other possibility was that she’d simply assaulted the man in his sleep, crawling right on top of him.
Still, she took full advantage of her current position. Lifting her head, she watched his face. Since he was asleep, he was in no position to complain. Plus, the man had unfairly long lashes. She ran a finger over the stubble on his jaw. Rough and sexy, just the way she liked him.
One minute, he was asleep, eyes closed. The next, he was awake and staring back at her. “Hey,” he said. That was all, but his arms tightened around her, his thumb stroking a little circle at the top of her spine.
“Morning, hotshot.” Leaning forward, she kissed him.
Long minutes later, he broke off their kiss, framing her face in his hands. “I got to get goin’.” To his credit, he sounded reluctant. “I know that
sounds bad, but I got my marchin’ orders yesterday from Sam.”
“You got five minutes to misbehave?” Hell. That sounded desperate. “Yeah,” he said, but he hesitated. Maybe she’d misread the situation, but
the erection stabbing into her hip said he was just as happy to see her this morning as she was him. So, what gave? “I should tell you somethin’. First. Do some confessin’ and then see how you feel.”
Hell. She pulled back a few inches. “Hit me.”
He cupped the side of her jaw, rubbing a thumb over her cheek. “You work ten on, two off, right?”
“That’s the schedule.” Maybe he just wanted to hook up again. Having some of Cole, however, was better than nothing. “You want me to swing by base camp?”
She held her breath. Putting herself out there sucked, but this was Cole. He’d already seen and heard her at her rawest, most vulnerable. How bad could putting her feelings into words be?
“That would be great.” He dropped a kiss onto her mouth. A sweet, light kiss. He sucked at her bottom lip, nipping. Not so sweet. “But—”
“But?” She couldn’t quite keep the hurt out of her voice.
“But I wan’ a new rule,” he said, rolling her over on their bed. “We get as many nights together as we want.”
Were they a “we”?
She stared up at him. His face was fierce and intent—and watching her. When she tried to wriggle away, done with the games, he gave her more of his weight, pressing her down into the mattress. His legs tangled with hers. “What if I want to take the chance, want to see if we could have something more? What if I want more than just the nights?”
“This isn’t enough for you, sha?” His finger dipped into her wet heat. Stroked. “This is real good, and I’ve definitely got that five minutes you were askin’ about.”
“Yeah.” She gasped and he drank in the small sound. “Yes, Cole.”
She wasn’t sure if her hoarse agreement was a plea for more or an acknowledgment that he was right.
“I’ll be whatever I can for you,” he said fiercely, surprising her. “You wan’ a midnight fantasy lover, I’m your man. If you wan’ more than just the night—”
Her man. That sounded good.
“Breakfast, lunch, and dinner?” She laughed up at him.
“Uh-huh.” He bent his head, catching her mouth in another long, sweet
kiss. When he finally released her mouth, she was breathless and his hand was sliding south. “I’d like to spend every hour of the day with you.”
She wriggled impatiently. God, his hand was driving her crazy. Just another inch and she’d have him right where she wanted him.
“All day, every day?” she challenged.
“That’s what I’m thinkin’.” He smiled, slow and easy. “Unless you need convincin’.”
He stroked his fingers down her center, parting her and sinking deep into the slick folds. Her breath caught at the pleasure of his touch, even as her heart did some catching of its own. His eyes hadn’t moved from her face.
“I need to know what you wan’.” His finger pushed inside her channel, moving deeper. He found a spot that made her moan. “How long you want me to stay.”
Forever.
She reached up and twined her arms around his neck.
“Break the rules with me.” Her eyes held his, but the sweet clench of her pussy on his finger was driving him mad. He had to go. He needed to stay.
“I don’ like rules,” he acknowledged. That was the truth, right there. Discipline and duty and honor. He liked those. Lived by those. He just didn’t need or want a rule book to live his life.
“I think I could love you.” Yeah, that was pure challenge in her eyes. Her hands reached up to cup his head, her fingers feathering along his jaw. All that emotion on her beautiful face was for him. He’d done nothing to deserve those feelings, but she had them and she wore them proudly for him to see. Something inside him unlocked, opened up. For her. “You want me to love you, Cole Henry?”
“No rules, huh?” He pressed his lips against hers in a quick, hard kiss, but he didn’t move his fingers. He loved holding her like this.
“Never.” He heard the promise in her voice. Her words were her a gift to him with no strings attached. Come or go, stay or leave, she’d chosen to say what she felt. If he left now, he wouldn’t leave those words of hers behind. He’d carry those three simple words with him wherever he went.
He wrapped his arms around her and held on tight.
He didn’t want to go anywhere alone.
Never again.
“I love you.” He gave the words back to her. “That’s the new rule, okay?
The only one that counts. Anything else, we can figure out as we go along.” “I can live with that.” She smiled at him.
“I’ve got to go for now. Sam and the Rogues are waitin’ for me, but I’ll
be comin’ back for you. You watch for me, okay?”
“I can do that,” she smiled slowly. “Fire and you. That’s what I do best.” “You’ve got me all fired up,” he agreed. “Best summer of my life. Now,
let me make this the best year of your life.”
“That’s going to be a hard act to follow.”
“Well,” he grinned at her. “I’ll just have to work harder next year and the
year after, oui? You’ll have to stick around to see how things turn out.” Her heart turned over. “The best years of our lives,” she said firmly. “That sounds like one hell of a plan,” he agreed and kissed her.
