The Apocalyptic Queen's Werewolf Journey Chapter 498: Small Warning

At the counterfeit syndicate headquarters in the Golden Triad, Marka listened to his subordinate's report.

His expression tightened instantly, and he turned to look at the man in the suit standing in front of him.

The man's name was Colin Snyder. This time, he had brought two unfamiliar faces with him, a man and a woman. The woman wore a black veil. Though her full features were hidden, it was obvious at a glance that she was a strikingly beautiful Eastern werewolf. The man looked ordinary and unremarkable. But based on Marka's years of judging people, these two were definitely not to be taken lightly. In fact, compared to them, the man in the suit seemed easier to deal with.

Clearly, Colin had no intention of explaining who they were.

"I didn't expect them to take the initiative. Didn't they learn their lesson? They actually dared to make such a big move in the Golden Triad." Marka let out a cold laugh, his tone dripping with sarcasm.

Colin smiled as well. "The people from Blue Star Military Academy have always been arrogant and overconfident. A reaction like this is normal. Besides, they suffered heavy losses at our hands before. They're probably furious right now."

The report Marka had just received showed that several academy teams who had clashed with them earlier were conducting a large-scale search for their headquarters.

Clearly, like a tiger that had lost its fangs, the enemy had been provoked into anger.

But in Marka's view, that only gave them an opportunity.

He made a quick decision and looked at Colin. "Since they're delivering themselves to us, we might as well take this chance to wipe them out in one go."

Colin hesitated slightly and glanced back at the two behind him.

Anne and Logres exchanged a look, then nodded slowly.

Only after receiving their signal did Colin respond, "Alright."

After all, dealing with Blue Star Military Academy had been one of their main objectives on this trip.

Marka immediately broke into a grin. Working with smart people was refreshing, especially when they had enough strength to back it up.

Very quickly, the two of them dispatched part of their armed forces. Just like last time, except this time they were launching the attack themselves. Once everything was arranged, Marka turned and left to personally issue the orders.

"Where's Thora?" Colin asked in a low voice.

Anne replied calmly, "We didn't catch her. But since those academy teams have already mobilized, she should show up soon."

Logres added, "The team she leads is probably the strongest among all the Blue Star Military Academy teams currently in the Golden Triad. Capturing her alive won't be easy."

Colin's expression darkened. "No matter the cost, she must be captured alive. That's a direct order from above."

Anne gave a slight nod, her voice carrying a trace of coldness. "I know."

She and Logres had come for one core mission, to bring back the woman named Thora. Their objective had been clear from the start.

Colin said nothing more. In truth, he could only offer reminders.

Anne and Logres held positions far above his own.

Anne, in particular, was one of Blue Star Research Institute's top agents. If he said the wrong thing, he might lose his life without even knowing how it happened.

As soon as the conversation ended, Anne turned and walked away.

Logres also prepared to leave. As he passed by Colin, he raised a hand and patted him on the shoulder, a strange smile on his face.

Suddenly, a sharp pain shot through Colin's neck. His entire body began convulsing, and he let out painful groans. "Ah ... ah..."

"Relax. Anne just gave you a small warning. It won't kill you," Logres said in mock reassurance. "Next time you talk to her, try being a little gentler." With that, he quickly followed Anne and left.

Colin convulsed for a full ten minutes before he gradually recovered. Fear lingered in his heart. This was Blue Star Research Institute's ace agent, Anne. Her reputation was well deserved.

Soon, most of the armed forces at the counterfeit syndicate headquarters were deployed. They split into several groups and headed toward the locations where they had detected Blue Star Military Academy teams.
