The Godfather's Love Buried in Snow Chapter 6
In the video, Bianca deliberately let the leash go. I fell, bleeding. Dante picked her up and walked away without looking back.
"See? I fixed it."
His tone was pleading, like a man drowning. "Elena, give me one more chance. Just one."
I pushed his hand away. The phone hit the ground, the screen cracking.
"Dante, it's too late. What I lost isn't something that can be forgiven. It was my ability to stand in this brutal world. It was my last shred of trust in you."
I walked into the academy gates.
Behind me, Dante's voice choked with tears. "What about our promise when we were young? In the safe house... I said I'd protect you forever."
My steps paused, but I didn't turn around.
Some promises, like a bullet that missed its mark, were gone the moment he chose to protect Bianca over and over again.
Back in the dorm, Julian messaged me.
Dante stayed under your building for three hours. There's a pile of cigarette butts. Want me to ask him to leave?
I replied: No need.
I walked to the window and looked down.
Dante was still standing there, clutching the bullet pendant. The cold Zurich wind whipped his suit. He looked like a lost child.
But I knew I couldn't look back.
Soon after, Lisa sent a message.
Bianca got ten years. Because of her fake reports, the Rossi family lost three major contracts. Their reputation is tanked. Dante finally signed the divorce papers. He also transferred all his port shares to the Ferrari family as compensation.
I looked at the message and felt nothing.
I opened Julian's chat and typed: Thank you.
Last time my father had a heart attack and needed a controlled drug, Julian had used his private jet to deliver it overnight.
Julian replied instantly.
Want to go see the Alps? Consider it a celebration... of finally getting rid of Dante Rossi.
I looked at the screen and smiled.
Maybe it was time to let the past go.
