Bonded to My Ex's Alpha Brother Chapter 204
Erin’s POV
I turned to find him approaching from the stairwell, his movements graceful and predatory.
"I... thought I'd stay up here for a moment," I replied, suddenly feeling trapped.
"Why?" He moved closer. "To avoid Derek?" His gaze traveled from my face down to my body, making me acutely aware of how the red dress clung to my curves.
"No, it's not that," I began, trying to create some distance between us. "I just—"
The words died in my throat as Alexander suddenly closed the gap between us, backing me against the cool marble wall. His arms came up on either side of me, caging me in. I gasped, the sudden proximity making my heart race—not with desire, but with unease.
Alexander leaned in and pressed a kiss to my cheek. "In four days, you'll be completely mine," he whispered against my skin.
His touch felt wrong, nothing like the electric connection I'd experienced with Derek despite my hatred for him. There was no warmth, no spark—just the uncomfortable awareness of being trapped by someone stronger than me.
Before I could respond, Alexander cupped my face in his hands and pressed his lips against mine. The kiss was forceful, demanding. I pushed against his chest, trying to break free, but he didn't budge. Despite a year of training, the strength difference between an Omega female and an Alpha male was still overwhelming.
Just as panic began to rise in my chest, a deafening roar echoed through the space, so powerful that even the music from downstairs seemed to stop. Alexander broke the kiss, and I turned my head to see Derek standing at the top of the stairs, his eyes glowing gold as he stared at us.
"Alpha Derek," Alexander drawled, not moving away from me. "What brings you up here? You just interrupted our passionate kiss."
Derek moved with frightening speed, grabbing Alexander by the throat and slamming him against a pillar. I cried out in shock, the violence of the action stunning me.
"How dare you kiss her?" Derek growled, his voice barely human.
Alexander smirked despite the hand crushing his windpipe. "Why shouldn't I? She's about to become my Luna. I can kiss her whenever I want."
Derek's response was to knee Alexander hard in the shin. I instinctively moved forward, calling out, "Alexander!" but froze when Derek turned his ferocious expression toward me.
"Why did you hit him?" I demanded, finding my voice. "Let him go."
Derek's attention returned to Alexander, but he spoke to me in a low, furious voice. "You enjoyed his kiss, didn't you?"
The accusation stunned me into silence. I couldn't deny it—not because I had enjoyed it, but because the question itself was so unexpected.
Alexander took advantage of Derek's momentary distraction to strike back, landing a solid punch to Derek's face. Within seconds, the two Alpha wolves were engaged in a brutal fight, snarling and landing blows that would have killed an ordinary man.
Pack members rushed up the stairs, attempting to separate them, but the two Alphas were locked in their violent dance, driven by something deeper than mere rivalry.
I tried to reach Alexander, grabbing his arm. "Alexander, stop fighting. Both of you, stop!"
Derek's eyes flickered to my hand on Alexander's arm, and with renewed fury, he seized Alexander's throat again, this time squeezing harder. "I've let you touch her before, but you dare kiss her?" His voice dropped to a deadly whisper. "I'll kill you tonight."
"Kill me?" Alexander choked out, his eyes blazing. "Like you killed my soul bond?"
The room fell silent. I didn't react to the revelation, having already heard it from Alexander. Derek noticed my lack of surprise and let out a cold laugh.
"So you told her about this," he said to Alexander.
Alexander's face contorted with rage. "You've hidden your crimes for too long, Derek. It's time everyone knows what you really are."
"Does she know where I sent you years ago?" Derek countered, his voice deceptively calm. Alexander's expression darkened, and for a moment, he seemed at a loss for words.
Seizing the moment of hesitation, Alexander attempted to headbutt Derek, but Derek was faster. He dodged the attack and slammed Alexander's head against the pillar with brutal force. Blood immediately began to flow from a gash on Alexander's forehead.
"Alexander!" I screamed, horrified by the sight of blood streaming down his face.
Alexander's pack members surged forward, trying to push Derek away from their Alpha. Derek sneered at them. "Your Alpha and his subjects are equally weak, Silverpine Pack."
Alexander clutched his bleeding head, looking dizzy and disoriented. I rushed to his side, supporting him and touching his wound gently. "You need to go to the hospital," I told him, my voice shaking.
I could feel Derek's eyes on me, burning with an emotion I couldn't—or wouldn't—name.
Anger surged through me as I turned to face Derek, pushing against his chest. "Why did you hurt him? What has he done wrong? He's my fiancé; he has every right to kiss me." My voice rose with each word. "And who are you to tell me who I can and cannot allow to touch me? Stay away from us."
Derek's jaw clenched, and several of his pack members grabbed him as if afraid he might lunge at me. Delta Mark whispered something in his ear, clearly trying to calm him down.
I noticed Tom staring at Derek with fear in his eyes, as if struggling to control himself. After a moment, he addressed Alexander's pack members. "This is an issue between two men, not two packs. Everyone, please disperse. We'll handle this." Under the pressure of two Alphas, the crowd slowly began to thin out, leaving the second floor.
I ignored Tom, focusing instead on supporting Alexander, who leaned heavily against me, his arm draped over my shoulder.
Alexander looked directly at Derek, pulling me closer to his side. "Only four days left," he taunted.
Derek lunged forward again, but Tom blocked him, then turned to Alexander with a snarl. "Shut up, you bastard. You've been provoking him this entire time. Do you really want to end up like your soul bond?"
I stepped in front of Alexander protectively. "How dare you speak to an Alpha like that? He hasn't harmed any of you, yet you keep hurting him."
Tom's gaze shifted to me, his eyes sharp and unforgiving. "If you weren't my Alpha's soul bond, and if he hadn't allowed you to live, I would have killed you the moment you called him your mate in front of all those guests."
