Bonded to My Ex's Alpha Brother Chapter 91
Erin's POV
I felt the young werewolf's hand on my waist, guiding me deeper into the dance floor. I tried to lose myself in the rhythm, to forget about Derek.
"You're a great dancer," my dance partner shouted over the music, his smile warm and appreciative.
I was about to respond when I sensed a familiar presence behind me. Before I could turn, strong fingers wrapped around my wrist, pulling me away from my dance partner with irresistible force. I found myself spinning and then colliding with a solid chest I would recognize anywhere.
Derek.
I pushed against him, anger flaring again. "Let me go!"
My dance partner stepped forward, his expression uncertain. "Hey, man, I think she doesn't want to dance with you."
Derek turned to him, releasing his full Alpha aura, a single look making the young wolf visibly pale. Recognition flashed in the young man's eyes as he realized Derek was not just an Alpha, but the Alpha of the Darkwood Pack. He mumbled something that might have been an apology and quickly retreated into the crowd.
I continued struggling, trying to pull my wrist from Derek's iron grip. "Let me go!"
Instead, he pulled me closer, his arm wrapping around my waist like a steel band. "We're leaving. Now." His voice was a low growl I felt more than heard.
"Alpha," I tried again, struggling to maintain a rational tone, "I want to stay a bit longer. You can leave—"
Derek's hand shot to the back of my neck, gripping with unyielding pressure, his thumb pressing against the pulse point at the side of my throat, hot as a branding iron. He lowered his head and his mouth captured mine with precision.
I jolted, an electric sensation racing from my spine to my limbs. Instinctively, I raised my hands to push against his chest, but he captured my wrists even faster, pinning them behind my back with one hand, the force making me let out a small whimper.
That sound seemed to ignite something within him. Derek's eyes suddenly darkened, his pupils burning to molten gold in the flashing lights of the dance floor, radiating a heat that made my heart race.
I let out another small moan, so soft it was almost swallowed by the music, but Derek heard it. His arm tightened around my waist, pulling me fully against his solid chest, fitting perfectly together, like we were born to be each other's other half.
His kiss deepened, possessive. I gasped, tentatively sliding my hands up to his broad shoulders, my fingers digging into his tense muscles.
My dance partner tried to approach, but Derek suddenly lifted his head, his gaze sweeping over like a blade, the Alpha aura rolling out like a storm, pressing the air into stillness.
The man blanched, stumbled backward, and disappeared into the crowd. Derek let out a low hum of satisfaction, returning his gaze to me, golden eyes scanning my face, the corner of his mouth curving into a dangerous arc. He released my lips but kept a tight grip on my wrist, dragging me away from the dance floor with hurried strides.
---
Derek didn't lead me toward the club's main entrance. Instead, we moved in the opposite direction, entering an area where the music gradually diminished and the lighting dimmed, creating a more private atmosphere.
We entered a quiet section of the club I hadn't seen before. "Where are we going?" I asked, my voice barely audible.
Derek didn't answer. He suddenly stopped, pushing me against the wall, his strong arms caging me between the wall and his body. His hands were placed on either side of my head, his body close but not quite touching mine.
"The back entrance area of the club," he finally answered, his warm breath fanning across my face.
"Back entrance?" I repeated, my voice husky with tension.
Derek used one finger to lift my chin, forcing me to meet his gaze. His eyes were now almost entirely gold, his wolf close to the surface. "I've been restraining myself, haven't I?" he asked, his voice rough with suppressed emotion. "So why, when you asked for time to prepare yourself, would you challenge my patience? Why would you provoke the wolf inside me that now only wants to mark you as its own?"
I opened my mouth to respond, but no words came. My throat had gone dry, my heart hammering wildly in my chest.
"Now you must bear the consequences," he whispered against my ear, his hot breath making me shiver uncontrollably.
---
Derek's lips found my earlobe, gently sucking on the sensitive skin. A small moan escaped before I could stop it, embarrassingly loud in the quiet corridor. He captured both my hands with one of his, pinning them to the wall above my head.
His lips moved from my ear to my cheek while his thumb traced circles on the sensitive skin inside my wrists. Each touch sent pleasurable sparks through my veins.
"Why can't you just behave?" he murmured against my skin. "You know I don't like being angry with you."
"Why?" I managed to ask, the single word encompassing all my confusion about his behavior.
Derek smiled against my throat, his teeth lightly grazing the sensitive skin there. "You know the answer in your heart," he responded, then kissed me again, gentler than before but just as thorough.
This time, I kissed back, my lips moving beneath his despite his continued grip on my wrists. His free hand traced the curve of my waist, learning my shape through the fabric of my dress.
"How dare you try to attract the attention of other wolves?" he growled against my neck. "When you know you are mine."
His words sent a thrill through my body that had nothing to do with fear and everything to do with desire. His lips moved to my collarbone, the place he had been staring at all evening, leaving hot, open-mouthed kisses along the delicate bone.
"I want you to look me in the eyes the whole time, little wolf," he commanded, his gaze locked with mine.
---
Derek's fingertips hooked into the neckline of my dress, slowly pulling it down, the fabric sliding across my skin, exposing the curves of my breasts, the coolness and his gaze burning me simultaneously. He leaned down, his lips pressing against my exposed chest, wet, hot kisses like flames, tracing along the curve, leaving tingling shivers in their wake.
He yanked the dress open, his chest pressing firmly against mine, the weight of his muscles making me gasp. His breath was scorching against my ear as he whispered, "I'm not done marking you." His husky voice was like electricity, making my spine quiver.
His tongue plunged into my mouth, the French kiss sweeping through like a storm, his tongue entwining with mine, stealing my breath, the lingering taste of alcohol mixing with his scent, making me dizzy. I wrapped my arms around his neck, my fingers digging into his thick black hair, and when I pulled tight, he let out a low groan, kissing me more fiercely.
Derek's hand moved to my breast, his palm kneading, his thumb flicking across the nipple, triggering a sharp jolt of pleasure. His lips moved to my breast, taking one nipple into his mouth, sucking with enough force to make me arch, a moan escaping my throat: "Derek..."
He looked up, golden fire burning in his eyes, the corner of his mouth curving into a dangerous smile before he licked more forcefully, his teeth scraping lightly, leaving red marks.
"You dared to flaunt yourself in front of other wolves," he growled against my skin, his voice deep as thunder, "this is your punishment." His hand slid between my legs, his long fingers precisely finding my clitoris, massaging with a touch both light and ruthless, the wet heat making my entire body tense.
I bit my lip trying to suppress a moan, but one escaped anyway. He chuckled, his fingers quickening, his thumb circling the sensitive spot, his other hand gripping my buttock, forcing me against his touch.
His mouth sealed over mine again, his tongue mimicking the rhythm below, nearly suffocating me with the depth of his kiss. My clitoris swelled under his rubbing. My legs trembled, clamping tightly around his hand, my body teetering on the edge of pleasure. He pulled back slightly, staring at my flushed face, his golden eyes filled with naked possession: "You are mine."
Before I could control myself, I cried out: "Soul Bond!"
---
Derek froze, his body suddenly rigid against mine. He pulled back slightly, looking into my eyes, and I knew mine were glistening with unshed tears.
A wrinkle appeared on his forehead, and he began to move away, but I kept my arms locked around his neck, unwilling to let him go.
"C-can I call you my Soul Bond?" I asked tentatively, my voice barely above a whisper.
In that moment, I fully realized I couldn't live without Derek. He truly was my destined mate, chosen by the Moon herself. I thought back to my relationship with Bradley, finally understanding why that relationship had always felt somewhat wrong, why there had always been a barrier I couldn't cross.
It was my wolf, I suddenly understood. My wolf had always prevented me from going further with Bradley because he was never my destined mate. He was never the one meant to be mine.
Derek looked at me for a long time, his expression unreadable. I worried he would become cold again, would retreat behind the walls he so carefully maintained. Hesitantly, I loosened my arms from around his neck.
He straightened, once again making me feel his powerful build, his presence seeming to fill the space around us, radiating Alpha energy.
Gathering my courage, I rose on my tiptoes, wrapping my arms around his neck again, craving his closeness.
"I'll do anything you want," I whispered, my voice hoarse with emotion. "But please be completely mine, and never hurt me, Soul Bond."
Derek did not return my embrace. His eyes avoided mine, his expression guarded, impossible to read.
Without warning, he turned toward the back door, saying in a calm voice, "Let's go. It's getting late."
