It was Julia calling.

"Summer, why didn't you come home last night?"

Summer’s ears turned red. "But you were just holding and kissing me!"

"You wanted me too, didn't you?"

"I did not!"

Fraser took her hand and placed it over her heart, teasing softly, "Summer, good girls don't lie."

Flustered, Summer pushed him away and ran toward the door.

"I'm…going home."

Fraser sounded deeply displeased. "After teasing me, you're running away? That’s cruel."

Summer glanced at his pants and immediately blushed bright red at the exaggerated sight.

"I didn't tease you! You're the one teasing me."

Fraser took slow, confident steps toward her, his voice seductive and deep. "But you enjoyed it too, didn’t you?"

Summer backed away rapidly.

She turned suddenly, dashed into the guest room, slammed the door, and locked it in one swift move!

Fraser stared at the locked door helplessly and chuckled softly.

Glancing downward, he sighed, "Looks like you’ll have to endure tonight."

Fraser turned around, went into the bathroom, and turned the cold water on full blast.

Julia arrived at the office early.

"Summer, I've arranged for some professional exterminators to check Brookhaven Estates."

Summer raised her head just as Julia burst into her office.

Hearing this, she quickly put her pen down.

"Mom, that's really not necessary."

"How is it not necessary? That mouse must’ve been huge, judging from how loud you screamed last night!"

Summer blushed furiously at the memory.

"You’re pregnant now, so we need to be extra careful about these things," Julia said firmly.

Julia suddenly paused, eyeing her suspiciously. "Wait…why is your face so red?"

Julia approached curiously. "Who's calling?"

Julia continued, "If you won't come home, then I'll stay at Brookhaven Estates with you—"

The phone rang again, interrupting Julia mid-sentence.

She pressed the phone tightly to her ear.

The man's lazy voice drawled through the receiver, "Miss me yet?"

Summer clenched her teeth and replied stiffly, pretending it was work-related, "Alright, we can discuss the project details later."
