Getting into a fight right after graduation wasn't exactly on my bucket list.

But my fake friend of four years suddenly decided to drop the act.

"Which boyfriend are we talking about?" I asked suddenly, catching my fake friend completely off guard.

She'd been building up to some dramatic, tearful performance, and I just deflated it entirely.

I tilted my head, tapping my lower lip with one finger, looking utterly innocent as I asked, "Is it Alex from the Economics department? Or maybe Chris from Athletics? Or perhaps Robinson from Foreign Languages?"

This bombshell revelation caused an uproar.

But I just calmly examined my fingernails.

"Oh wait, I forgot—those are all my admirers. You just delivered their love letters for them, right?"

Watching my fake friend's face turn a lovely shade of green, my heart soared with satisfaction.

Just as I was really enjoying slapping her down, the male lead of this little drama showed up.

He wore an outdated white shirt and blue jeans, riding up on a yellow bike like he was in some kind of hurry.

When he saw us, he threw the bike down in what he probably thought was a cool move.

You have to pay if you damage those rental bikes.

No sense of civic responsibility whatsoever.

I couldn't help mentally criticizing him.

But that didn't stop me from watching him rush to protect his beloved.

He pulled my fake friend into his arms with one dramatic gesture.

"Sophia, I've told you so many times—you and I will never happen. Why do you keep harassing her?"

That accusation just made my blood boil.

I immediately crossed my arms.

"You're accusing me of seducing you. Got any proof?"

I could tell he was trying to figure out where to start with his story.

So I smiled.

"Are you going to say I always came to find you alone, so you have no proof?"

"Yes!" he answered without even thinking, completely confident.

That level of stupidity...

I could barely keep myself from laughing.

But I forced it down, putting on a hurt expression instead.

"So... you remember we always met in the school's rose corridor..."

"Right! You always asked me to meet you in the school's rose corridor, trying to convince me to break up with her," he continued, taking my bait.

He didn't even notice that my fake friend had gone pale.

He just kept talking.

"Lily, you have to believe me. She's the one who seduced me."

Ha.

This was too funny.

This loser actually had the nerve to claim I was seducing him?

Oh please.

I wouldn't take him if you gift-wrapped him.

I didn't want to watch their lovey-dovey act anymore—it might ruin my appetite for the graduation party later.

"That's enough," I said, immediately becoming the center of attention again.

"First of all, our school doesn't have a 'rose corridor'—we have a 'rose garden.' Second, I'm allergic to roses. Why would I ask you to meet somewhere that would make me break out in hives if I supposedly liked you so much?"
