I never expected Noah to be the legendary King of Kings.

I checked the lease agreement again. Noah said the name on it was his human mother's.

I gaped in shock and swiped every cupcake in his shop.

Noah didn't say anything, just asked, "Didn't you guys want to force him out of the game before?"

He told me, "Your methods were too gentle. This wolf offended my territory and harassed... my person."

He said the last two words very softly, but I heard them.

When Noah got down to business, he was swift as lightning.

The next day, he took off his little bear apron, put on a custom suit, and came to my office.

This powerful Wolf King made Liam miserable. Using the rules of the Wolf Council, within three days, Liam's family business was paralyzed on the West Coast.

Before leaving, Liam came to ask me.

"Did you ask him to target me like this?"

I didn't answer. Liam just smiled. "It doesn't matter. As long as this makes you happy, I'm fine with anything."

"Liam, look forward. We are impossible now."

Liam gave a bitter smile, nodded slightly, and turned to leave. His back was hunched, like a wolf who had lost his soul.

But after this, Liam truly never bothered me again.

Under Noah's Spartan training, Sarah and I moved out of the office building as quickly as possible and officially established our own company.

We held a celebration party in his cake shop, turning the place that usually smelled of cream and coffee into a barbecue joint.

His shop still had that annoying little iPad playing the news.

On the screen, the Miller Group, which was booming in the first half of the year, was facing a crisis. Liam, the CEO, resigned taking the blame, announcing bankruptcy and restructuring.

I turned off the news and switched to a comedy.

Accompanied by the laughter from the iPad, the three of us raised our glasses.

Noah looked at me, his golden eyes full of tenderness. He whispered in my ear:
