Rejected by the Alpha, Marked by the Lycan King Chapter 6
Liam's eyes widened slowly, his pupils vibrating violently between human roundness and wolfish slits.
He laughed awkwardly, shaking his head gently.
"No... that's impossible. The Moon Goddess wouldn't allow it."
He tried to step forward and grab me, attempting to use his Alpha Command to make me submit, only to find his "Voice" had no effect on me.
Because I no longer belonged to his pack.
We just stood there, frozen.
"You're joking, right?" Liam asked tentatively, but all confidence had drained from his tone.
"When did we dissolve it? You never mentioned it, and I never agreed! This is against pack law!"
As he spoke, Liam started to panic. The wolf nature inside him began to stir aggressively, his claws extending.
I didn't want to tangle with him any longer. Dragging my luggage, I turned to leave, dropping just one sentence behind me.
"The agreement with your bloody handprint is on the table. Read it yourself."
I called an Uber to JFK Airport.
Hearing my words, Liam rushed into the old apartment.
On the table lay the document I had prepared long ago, signed Liam Miller, complete with his bright red, bloody fingerprint.
Liam couldn't mistake his own scent.
But he didn't know when he had personally signed this farewell letter, personally severing the fate granted by the Goddess.
I received a call from Liam on the way to the airport.
But I didn't answer. instead, I pulled out the SIM card, snapped it in half, and threw it out the car window.
Before I knew it, I was at the airport.
I grabbed my luggage, checked it, and got in line for TSA.
The plane would take off in an hour and a half.
I could finally say goodbye to this life that had tortured me for ten years.
Just as I was about to reach the front of the security line, the crowd behind me was scattered by a brute force.
Liam rushed to my side, panting, ignoring the warnings of the security guards, and pulled me out of the line.
His eyes were crimson—the sign of an inner wolf about to go mad from losing its mate.
He tore the copy of the agreement to shreds right in front of my face.
"I never signed this! It doesn't count! You are my Mate!"
