Of course, she didn't succeed in digging up the grave. Halfway through, the cemetery caretaker chased her out.

Rebecca believed this was my punishment for her. She walked down the mountain barefoot, and as she walked, she actually fell to her knees.

"Can we go back to how things were? I admit I was wrong." As she spoke, her eyes filled with tears again.

A person who used to be so proud, with such sensitive self-esteem, had humbled herself to the point of kneeling before me.

"I was wrong. You win. I've completely lost. Please come back, okay? I can't live without you."

"Can you call me 'Rebecca' one more time? I want to hear it so badly I'm going crazy. I'm completely losing my mind!"

"I'm so sorry. I can't lose you. I can't bear to part with you. I lost. I'm a fool who didn't know how to cherish what she had."

Rebecca's speech had become incoherent. She kept repeating that she was wrong, that she had lost.

Finally, she collapsed on the road.

Surprisingly, I felt nothing toward her now. Perhaps death had given me clarity. Rebecca's constant repentance was more about guilty conscience.

Combined with Brandon's manipulation, it made her angry and ashamed, which is why she cared so much about my death.

After all, if you don't love someone while they're alive, you won't love them after they're dead.

Rebecca was sent to the hospital by passersby and stayed for a day before returning home.

Then something unexpected happened. Someone with ulterior motives had filmed Rebecca digging up my grave at night and posted it online.

It immediately sparked widespread discussion.

At first, everyone said she was devoted, that she had done this because she was traumatized, and that although her actions were inappropriate, they should be understood.

Later, someone came forward with evidence, posting videos of Rebecca and Brandon coming and going together over the past few months, and explaining that my death was essentially caused by them.

Brandon was labeled as a homewrecker, and his past relationship with Rebecca was completely exposed.

Moreover, the bureau was already investigating the cause of my death and the people involved.

Rebecca was labeled as having an extramarital affair and destroying a military marriage.

My sister still lived in the family housing, and the additional property I had bought in my name was confiscated and given to my sister.

Overnight, Rebecca became a pariah with nowhere to go.

She had given most of her money to Brandon and only had a few thousand dollars left to rent a place.

After suffering blow after blow, Rebecca completely broke down. She couldn't sleep at night and would wander around the room.

In the middle of the night, she would start crying and smashing windows. The neighbors were so disturbed they couldn't take it anymore. Finally, with no other option, she was sent to a psychiatric hospital.
