"True," I agreed, watching as Sarah expertly soothed her son. I couldn't wait until that was me, holding my own baby, learning their cues and needs.

The rest of the day passed in a happy blur. Tristan and I spent the afternoon at the new house, meeting with the interior designer to finalize the living room layout.

We'd already chosen a beautiful gray sectional couch that was deep and plush, the kind you could sink into for movie marathons.

A modern coffee table made of reclaimed wood with a glass top sat in the center of what would be our living room.

"What about the walls?" the designer, a pleasant woman named Monica, asked, pulling up her tablet. "We discussed cream for the main color, but what about accent walls?"

"I like the deep blue for behind the entertainment center," Tristan said, pointing to the sample on the screen. "And maybe the charcoal gray for the dining room?"

"Perfect choices," Monica said, making notes. "They'll complement the furniture beautifully. Now, what about window treatments?"

We spent the next hour discussing curtains versus blinds, area rugs, lighting fixtures, and all the small details that would transform the house into our home.

It was overwhelming in the best way, every choice we made was another piece of our future falling into place.

"What about the nursery?" Monica asked, pulling up a different folder on her tablet. "Have you thought about themes or colors?"

I looked at Tristan, feeling that familiar flutter of excitement mixed with nerves. Our baby. Our nursery. The room where we'd rock our children to sleep, where we'd change countless diapers, where we'd watch them grow.

"Don't worry about that. My wife and I already have it covered." Her brow raised at his words but no questions was asked.

She nodded and showed us options for cribs, we chose a two in one convertible one that could eventually become two toddlers bed.

Then we told her not to worry about the rest because we've gotten few other things.

"The house should be completely ready in the next few days," Monica said, packing up her tablet.

"We'll have everything delivered and set up. All the furniture, the decorations, the window treatments, everything. You'll just need to bring your personal items and you'll be ready to move in."

After she left, Tristan and I walked through the empty house hand in hand, our footsteps echoing on the floors, imagining what it would look like filled with our furniture, our belongings, our life.

"This is the living room where we'll watch movies," I said, standing in the middle of the spacious room, turning in a slow circle. "Where we'll have family game nights and where our babies will take their first steps. Where we'll put up our first Christmas tree as a family."

"This is the kitchen where I'll cook you breakfast every Sunday," Tristan said, pulling me into kitchen with its granite countertops and stainless steel appliances.

"Where we'll make bottles for the babies at three in the morning. Where we'll eventually teach them to bake cookies."

"This is the dining room where we'll host holidays," I continued, moving into the adjoining space with its beautiful chandelier and bay window. "Thanksgiving and Christmas and birthday parties."

"And upstairs," Tristan said, his voice dropping lower as he led me up the elegant staircase with its iron railings, "is the master bedroom where I'll make love to my wife every night."

I laughed, heat flooding my cheeks even though we were married and I was literally carrying his child. "Every night?"

"Every night," he confirmed, pulling me close once we reached the landing. "Maybe twice a night. Three times if I'm feeling particularly energetic."

"Ambitious," I said, but I was already tilting my face up for his kiss.

He obliged, kissing me slowly, thoroughly, like we had all the time in the world. His hands settled on my hips, pulling me against him, and I could feel his desire even through our clothes.

The kiss deepened, his tongue sliding against mine in a way that made my knees weak.

"Tristan," I breathed when he moved to kiss my neck, his lips finding that sensitive spot just below my ear that always made me melt. "We're in an empty house."

"Exactly," he murmured against my skin, his breath hot and sending shivers down my spine.

"No one can interrupt us. No Lily running in asking questions. No Liam crying. No Orion knocking on the door to ask if we want dinner. Just us."

"The workers could come back," I protested weakly, even as my hands slid under his shirt to feel the hard muscles of his abdomen.

"They won't," he said, his hands sliding under my shirt to caress my sides, his touch gentle on my sensitive skin. "I told them we needed privacy to make final decisions."

"That's not what you meant and you know it," I said, but I was already arching into his touch, wanting more.

"Wasn't it?" His voice was pure innocence, but his hands were anything but as they moved higher, cupping my breasts through my bra.

They were fuller now with the pregnancy, more sensitive, and I gasped when his thumbs brushed over my nipples.

I gave up pretending to protest and pulled him toward what would be our bedroom. The tiles had already been installed, perfect for what I was imagining.

Tristan seemed to read my mind because he grinned wickedly. "Christening the new house already, Mrs. Hayes?"

"It seems appropriate," I responded, reaching for the buttons of his shirt with shaking fingers. "Making memories in every room."

"I like the way you think," he said, helping me with his shirt before working on mine.

We made love on the floor of our future bedroom, the afternoon sun streaming through the windows and painting golden patterns on our skin.

It was slow and sweet and intense, Tristan moving inside me with a gentleness that made me feel cherished and worshipped. He whispered how much he loved me, how beautiful I was, how grateful he was for our babies, for our life together.

When we finished, we lay tangled together on the soft carpet, Tristan's hand resting protectively on my belly where our baby grew.

"I can't wait to live here with you. Officially as my wife." he said softly, pressing kisses to my shoulder. "To wake up every morning in our home, with our baby down the hall. To make breakfast in our kitchen and come home to you every night."

"Me neither," I said, turning to kiss him properly. "Though I'm going to miss being at Orion's. It's been nice, having family so close. Hearing Lily's laughter every morning, watching Liam grow."

"We'll still be close. Soon." Tristan reminded me, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear. "You know Sarah will be over constantly, probably bringing food and checking on the baby. Orion will want to teach our kid everything he taught Lily. And theirs would be complete soon."

"True," I said, smiling at the thought. "And Lily will want to visit her baby cousin all the time. She's already planning how she's going to teach them everything she knows."

"Our baby is going to be so loved," Tristan said wonderingly, his hand moving in gentle circles on my stomach.

"So many people already waiting to meet them. Your pack, my pack, Orion and Sarah, Lily who's already practicing being a big cousin."

I felt tears prick my eyes, pregnancy hormones made me cry at everything these days. A commercial with a puppy could set me off. "They're going to be so lucky. To have you as a father."

"And you as a mother," Tristan said, wiping away a tear that had escaped. "The luckiest babies in the world."
