The Blind Dragon Chapter 13

Rain's hoarse song rang out. Sebastian's eyes grew confused and dazed.

Accompanied by her song, I struck Sebastian with all my strength.

His body flew backward and crashed into a water tank.

The array used him as its eye. Once the eye broke, the array's power dissipated.

I walked toward him step by step. "Brother, did I lose?"

He spat blood but still stared at me fixedly.

"I really can't understand. When we were young, whenever I was bullied, you'd always stand up for me. You'd share anything good with me. Now, to get my heart, you'd go to such lengths to harm me. Why?"

"No reason. You were just in my way." He turned his head away, his face full of arrogance.

After this crisis passed, everyone throughout the realm celebrated the deeds of Rain and me.

Father invited me for tea.

In the drifting incense smoke, Father spoke meaningfully, "I underestimated you before, thinking you only knew how to cause trouble."

I paused slightly, then smiled after taking a sip of tea. "I also didn't know Father valued me so highly in his heart."

"You child," Father stroked his beard, speaking earnestly, "Father is old now. The dragon clan will have to rely on you in the future. As the leader of a clan, I have some experience. Why don't I share it with you today?"

I set down my teacup. "That won't be necessary. Does Father want to create another heartless, faithless person?"

Father's expression darkened. After a moment, he also slammed down his cup and struck the table.

I smiled sarcastically, stood up, and bowed. "Father should enjoy your retirement. I'll take care of you in your old age, but only that much. The father-son affection I never experienced before—I won't need it in the future either."

Ignoring his increasingly dark expression, I added casually, "Oh, by the way, haven't you been feeling worse lately? Drink less tea, burn less incense. After all, Mother is an expert with poisons."
