The Blind Dragon Chapter 9

Emma bit her lip and nodded gently.

"Ever since Elena moved in, I've often noticed my husband disappearing with her."

"Once I followed them and discovered the two of them in the study... together."

She choked up, then composed herself and continued, "I never imagined that taking in my sister out of kindness would be like inviting a wolf into my home. Even less did I imagine that my upright, honorable husband was a hypocrite wearing a mask of virtue."

I laid out a plan for Emma. After listening, her eyes remained wide for a long moment before she finally said, "If you lose, the consequences will be severe."

Emma nodded.
