"Ms. Morrison, what time did you receive that blue box?"

"Around, around 9 AM, I think." I answered thoughtfully.

"Your neighbor delivered it to you, is that correct?"

"Yes, my neighbor from across the hall. I've seen him a few times before."

"The surveillance shows you spoke for 12 seconds. What did he say to you?"

I thought for two seconds, then said, "He said the box was for Daniel, but asked me to send it to the police station, saying it was something he would need."

At that moment, the officer across from me held up a photograph. "Is this the person?"

I squinted slightly. "I can't see clearly. Can you bring it closer?"

"Sure."

The officer placed the photo in front of me.

My expression changed instantly, panic spreading across my face. I covered my mouth with my right hand and said tremulously, "He... he's my patient."

In an instant, the officer was also shocked.

The interrogation room door burst open.

Daniel rushed to me and pulled me into his arms. I wrapped my trembling arms around him in return.

"Pause the interrogation. Let her calm down."

Only he and I remained in the room. With a frightened expression and a weak voice, I asked him, "The serial killer... it's him?"

"Based on the current evidence, yes."

Daniel stroked my head comfortingly as he spoke.

"He's my patient. We meet every week."

"He may have been targeting you for a long time."

"Then... what's in the blue box?" I asked tentatively.

"The seventh body," he said flatly. "That victim knocked on our neighbor's door yesterday, and then she disappeared."

My pupils dilated continuously.

"It's okay, it's okay, Claire. You're safe now."

I was too frightened to make any sound.

Thinking I was traumatized, Daniel personally escorted me home after finishing the statement.

The moment I stepped through the door, I allowed myself a relaxed smile.
