Into the Alpha’s Keep Chapter 127: 127
POV Savannah Bowen
**Days later**
I stared at the dress that the pack's seamstresses had created and sent to me as a gift.
The long dress, with a flowing skirt, was a deep emerald green, very similar to the color my eyes turned when I was about to shift. The golden details adorning the corset shimmered softly in the light.
It had various floral details, meticulously embroidered by each of the seamstresses.
My hair was simple, with no elaborate hairstyle. It fell in waves around my face, reaching halfway down my back.
"It's perfect," I gasped, rubbing my palms against the fabric.
Alexandra looked at me through the mirror, hands covering her mouth and her eyes filled with emotion. Beside her, Mihaela and Nicoleta seemed speechless, too shocked by the beauty of what I was wearing.
"The emerald green represents renewal and fertility, while the gold symbolizes nobility and prosperity," she explained, making me feel even more special. "The embroidered flowers are a tribute to the beauty and delicacy of nature. The flowing skirt reflects the freedom and lightness you feel beside Fenrir."
I was speechless, completely shocked by the delicacy of the dress that carried so many meanings.
"I don’t even know how to thank you."
Nicoleta gestured.
"It’s just a way for them to please you. It’s our Queen Dăneşti; your satisfaction in wearing the dress will be thank you enough."
I turned to face them, my back to the mirror.
"I've never... received anything so meaningful," I confessed, looking down at the floor. I ran my palms over the skirt, feeling my heart squeeze with emotion. "With so much symbolism."
Alexandra approached me and held my hands between hers.
"Get used to it, this is just the beginning of the long life you will have beside Fenrir. Our seamstresses, like everyone else in the pack, will always do everything to see you happy."
I swallowed hard, wetting my tight throat.
It was all so different from where I was raised. No one ever cared about my mother, whether she was happy, whether she seemed fulfilled. Only the alpha mattered, the leader. The rest was just that—rest.
I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself.
"So, what’s the event we have today, again?" I asked, my lips numb from nervousness.
In the past few days, the pack had been in a frenzy, running back and forth, trying to sort things out for an event I wasn’t even sure what it was.
"It’s a special moment for the pack," Mihaela replied, clearing her throat. "You’ll like it," she said, resolutely.
I had no idea what it was about, but I was sure she was right about me liking it. I had always enjoyed all the Dăneşti events; they had a unique way of making everything even more special.
I looked at them, observing their attire.
Alexandra wore a long, red dress that molded to her body, accentuating her dark brown skin. Mihaela wore a light pink one with a loose skirt. Nicoleta had opted for black, which contrasted with her gray hair.
"Whatever this event is, it really is special. I’ve never seen any of you so dressed up for a party," I murmured, eyeing them up and down.
Alexandra laughed.
"Let’s go, they’re all waiting for us."
My eyes widened, and my heart raced.
"Why?"
Mihaela shot her a sideways glance.
"Because they want to see your dress, they want to see how it looks on you. It’s your first time wearing a dress that truly represents the Dăneşti."
My stomach churned, and I felt like I might throw up.
"Don’t say that," I begged, my hands trembling. "Or I won’t be able to leave the house."
Alexandra huffed.
"Just come on! It’s not like you have a choice."
They dragged me down the stairs, forcing me to hurry down the steps.
Fenrir was already at the party, having left the house hours before I could see him, rushing to help the pack prepare for the event.
There was no more sign of snow on the lawn. The days were getting warmer. Soon, I’d be able to return to the lake for my regular baths.
We moved farther away from Fenrir’s house. Our house.
We headed toward the center of the village.
A few dry leaves got caught on the hem of my dress. My hair was loose, flying into my face as the wind hit us.
We walked to the clearing, laughing and having fun.
I observed the movement around us with curiosity. A sense of anticipation grew inside me as we advanced along the path decorated with wild jasmine and fallen leaves. Floral arrangements hung from the lower branches, making everything even more colorful and beautiful. The sunlight filtered through the treetops, creating a playful dance of shadows on the ground.
As we reached the center of the clearing, I was faced with a breathtaking sight.
Mihaela and Alexandra let go of me, rushing away, just like Nicoleta, who had already found her place among the people surrounding us.
I stood frozen, speechless.
A small wooden platform, surrounded by lit torches, served as an improvised altar. On it, a piece of emerald green fabric, just like my dress, fluttered gently in the wind.
The pack members, all of them, without exception, stood in a circle around the platform.
I gasped when I saw Fenrir standing beside the altar, wearing a tunic the same color as my dress—simple, yet imposing, adorned with symbols of our pack.
His eyes met mine, shining with tenderness as he smiled in satisfaction. He radiated a mixture of emotions that I couldn’t fully decipher. I focused, trying to understand them, but I couldn’t.
He walked toward me with firm, determined steps.
I gasped, stunned.
The wind played with the dark strands of his hair, making the curls dance around his face, highlighting his wild and majestic beauty. His blue eyes were even more intense, the silver dancing in his irises. There was a hint of gold too, as if wolf and man were in complete agreement.
He stopped right in front of me.
"God, you look so beautiful," he praised, overwhelmed as he saw me in the dress made by the pack’s seamstresses. "You’re the most beautiful female I’ve ever seen in my life."
Heat flushed my cheeks under the weight of his gaze.
"You look amazing too," I whispered. "That different outfit suits you."
He smiled, shrugging in a silent laugh.
"Do you know what we’re doing here?" he asked. I shook my head.
"We’re getting married, Sava."
For a few seconds, I stared at him, unable to react, absorbing what he had just said.
