Apocalypse Space:Second Chance Chapter 4

"Open up, Rain, are you in the dorm? I brought you food." A voice came from outside.

I gradually came back to my senses, no longer thinking about other matters.

After opening the door, I saw my other roommate, Jenna Park.

Unlike Quinn, if Quinn was fake and pretentious, then Jenna was genuine and warm-hearted.

She was one of the few people at this school who was truly good to me.

Back then, when we were being chased by zombies, Jenna pushed me away, giving me the chance to live while she was swallowed by the horde.

Thinking of this, tears couldn't help but well up in my eyes.

Under Jenna's stunned gaze, I hugged her.

She gently patted my back, and after a long while, she gently pushed me away.

"You must be hungry. I brought you your favorite spicy chicken leg rice."

The aroma made my mouth water.

It had been so long since I'd smelled something this good.

Without ceremony, I grabbed the container and placed it on the table, devouring it.

Five minutes later, the container was nearly empty.

I smiled and asked, "Jenna, is there more?"

Seeing me eat like I hadn't eaten in centuries, Jenna couldn't help but feel sorry for me. "Rain, you already know?"

"Know what?" I stopped my chopsticks to ask her.

"Rain, don't pretend. Marcus Chen and Quinn Zhou—those two are a couple of cheating scumbags. Don't be so heartbroken over them that you binge eat."

Jenna thought I was crying because of this, and her gaze became even more sympathetic.

She told me that today she saw Marcus and Quinn eating together, acting intimate like a couple.

At first, she thought she'd mistaken them for someone else, but after confirming several times, she realized it really was them.

Looking at the intimate photo Jenna had taken, I finally understood—Marcus had probably been involved with Quinn for a long time.

My heart felt completely calm.

What did those two have to do with me now anyway?

Right now, I just wanted to survive the apocalypse.

"Actually, I..." The words "don't care at all" hadn't left my mouth before Jenna interrupted.

She patted my shoulder gently. "Don't be sad. Your sister's got your back from now on. Who cares about those two cheaters?"

In the end, Jenna was still the best.

I really wanted to cry.

But there was no time.

If nothing unexpected happened, the zombie virus would break out tomorrow.
