Apocalypse Space:Second Chance Chapter 5

"Jenna, the apocalypse is coming. Tomorrow the zombie virus will break out, and the city will descend into chaos." I put away my previous emotions, my face completely serious.

"Rain, I told you not to watch too many zombie movies. Look, you've watched yourself silly. How could there be zombies in this world?" Jenna shook her head, smiling dismissively.

"I know you don't believe me. Tonight at 10 p.m., a blood-red light will appear in the sky. Two hours later, the sky will be completely covered in red light. The zombie virus will break out, and the apocalypse will arrive." As I spoke, I changed into athletic shoes, preparing to go out.

"We need to start stockpiling supplies now, find a safe place to stay, and get through the most chaotic moments of the apocalypse."

Jenna was stunned by my words. "Wait... you're talking about a blood-red light?"

"Don't tell me..." I suddenly had a bad feeling.

Jenna nodded at me.

I rushed to the balcony.

Looking up at the sky.

Sure enough, a blood-red light covered a small area.

This bizarre celestial phenomenon was rare in a century. Many students were already taking photos with their phones.

The campus was abuzz with discussion about the anomaly.

Little did they know, this was a harbinger of the apocalypse.

It wasn't even 2 p.m. yet. Based on the speed the red light spread in my previous life, in two more hours, the zombie virus would break out.

I had to stockpile enough supplies within those two hours to get through the most chaotic days.

The campus was too small with too few supplies, and using my space would be easily exposed, causing unnecessary trouble.

Plus, I wasn't very familiar with the space yet. At best, exposure would mean being held hostage; at worst, being killed.

Neither outcome would be good.

The best approach was to stockpile outside campus. Even if exposed, it wouldn't matter.

Because no one would be stupid enough to flee from outside into the densely populated campus.

But if I did this, I'd need to get back within an hour, leaving an hour to set up defenses.

Time was tight. I had to act now.

I turned to look at Jenna beside me. "Jenna, if the apocalypse really happened, what would you most want to do?"

Jenna suddenly grinned mischievously. "Hehe... I've always wanted to try robbing a bank."

"You're so criminal!" I headed downstairs.

Jenna called after me. Her smile disappeared, her eyes full of worry. "Rain, where are you going?"

"To raid a supermarket. Want to come?"
