The Widow's Death Chapter 7

The results from the hospital surveillance shocked Detective Russo.

The killer had actually made their move three months ago.

It seemed they'd even anticipated Detective Russo would review the footage today. In the last few seconds of the video, the killer's backpack was full of sleeping pills, and they opened the zipper toward the camera.

But the killer was completely covered in a black coat, impossible to determine gender or build. As for height, it matched what the ME said—under five-foot-seven.

"This is outrageous!"

Detective Russo slammed the table in anger.

This killer was highly intelligent, playing him and all the other officers for fools.

"Detective Russo, we have a new lead."

An officer handed over an envelope.

Inside were three photos and a sheet of paper.

The first photo was a selfie from the killer's perspective, with Martha Henderson's body impaled by rebar in the background.

The second photo was also a selfie, but crouching. The killer held a sharp scalpel with blood on it.

Both photos had something in common—the killer wore black rubber clothing, disposable gloves on their hands, and shoe covers and a hood.

These details were all clear, but the face was hidden by the rubber suit, completely invisible.

It was their police station office. The photo must have been taken a few hours ago, right after he returned from the hospital.

"It's the credit union rooftop."

An officer reminded him.
