After traveling for a long time, we finally reached the Shadow Vault.

In the Shadow Vault, various animals were imprisoned for consumption or service. But not just animals—many people were caged too. They were the Shadow Vault's slaves.

Passing each slave cage, I carefully searched for my brother but found nothing.

We were brought to a cage. Bleach locked us in, saying to wait while the leader was "enjoying" blood slaves.

"What are blood slaves?" I asked Jackson, unease rising in my heart.

"Blood slaves are people whose blood became special in the apocalypse for various reasons. They're captured and raised by the Shadow Vault, supplying blood to the upper echelon monthly, giving them certain abilities or eternal youth." Jackson pointed across from us.

I looked up to see people who were nothing but skin and bones, faces deathly pale.

The Shadow Vault's actions were utterly despicable!

But the next second, the person who appeared in my vision made me freeze.
