A Magical Mushroom Soup Chapter 7
"Help! Get away from me!" I screamed.
Jackson moved to rescue me, but the tiger obediently stepped back two paces, its face actually showing hurt!
But when Jackson approached, the tiger would growl at him. Yet I was closer to the tiger and completely unharmed.
A bold idea flashed through my mind—could my superpower be making animals obey!?
I tentatively told the tiger, "Lie down."
The tiger actually obeyed and lay down.
I tried a few more commands, and the tiger performed them all.
I was overjoyed. It was true! I knew my superpower couldn't just be cooking tasty food—that would be too useless!
That evening, I was roasting rabbits—three of them, two caught by the tiger now waiting outside the basement for dinner.
Looking at the rabbits in my hands, I couldn't help but smile. Had I just recruited two bosses and was about to live the good life in the apocalypse?
But when I looked at the photo of me and my brother on the table, I couldn't help but sigh. I still didn't know if he was alive or dead.
Jackson followed my gaze. "Who's he?"
"My brother. He disappeared two years ago."
Jackson's expression turned serious. "I've seen him. At the Shadow Vault."
