Seven Days Before the Apocalypse Chapter 13
All-Seeing Detector—what was that?
The system told me the detector could ignore all obstacles, find optimal routes, and avoid up to 70% of damage.
Basically advanced GPS.
"System, this detector isn't time-limited, right?"
Nothing from this space wasn't a scam. I asked nervously.
After getting the system's confirmation, I quickly opened the All-Seeing Detector.
I found the street full of zombies had turned into dense red dots.
The convenience store was also full of red dots with only a few yellow ones.
But its side storeroom was full of yellow dots.
That meant lots of supplies there.
Perfect—I'd fill up my Level 2 space nicely.
I decided to go around from the south side of the dorm building where there were fewer zombies.
After considerable effort, I reached the south entrance. The yellow dots nearly blinded me.
"Rain Hart, where's Chelsea? Is she alive?" Someone suddenly grabbed my arm.
I turned around, staring at him in shock.
He was covered in blood, looking utterly disheveled.
Ryan Chase... he wasn't dead either!
"Let go of me!" I tried to break free.
"Tell me, where is Chelsea?" He asked again, eyes full of worry.
"Where she is has nothing to do with me. Don't forget—I'm your girlfriend!"
"Girlfriend? I never liked you. You were just someone to mess around with."
I couldn't believe he'd say such things.
I'd known Ryan Chase for five years, dated him for two.
When everyone accused me of stealing money, he'd stood up, defending me fearlessly.
I thought I'd never forget that day.
That boy once full of justice—how had he become like this?
I thought I'd gone numb, beyond being affected.
Until meeting him again, I realized that pain had always been there.
"Won't tell me?" Ryan's hand closed around my throat.
His eyes were vicious, pupils bloodshot, terrifying.
The All-Seeing Detector suddenly sent a danger warning.
Red and green lights flashed alternately.
I felt uneasy.
Red meant danger, green meant safe, and red-green...
Only one possibility—he'd been bitten.
I spotted the scabbed bite mark on his arm.
He really had been bitten by a zombie.
"She's at... 503..." I forced out those words.
Ryan released his grip. I could finally breathe normally.
"Forgot to mention—Derek's there too." Looking at his urgent retreating figure, I added that.
