Seven Days Before the Apocalypse Chapter 2
"Rain, your package has been sitting there for days. Why don't I open it for you?" Chelsea Quinn held up a delivery box, looking up at me.
Her gentle tone made my eyes snap open.
That voice—I knew it all too well.
It was my nightmare.
Chelsea Quinn.
In my past life, she'd stolen my system, hooked up with my boyfriend, threw me out to the zombies, and left me to be eaten alive.
Remembering that day, the excruciating pain seemed to return to my body.
Chelsea loved taking advantage of people—the whole dorm knew it.
Tampons, body wash, makeup—she never bought anything, just "borrowed" from others.
Packages going missing in the dorm wasn't a one-time thing.
She was selective though, only taking things that weren't too valuable, so we never really pursued it.
But this time, I'd had enough.
I clenched my jaw, forcing myself to calm down, looking at her with an almost playful expression.
"A friend sent me a prank gift. Last time it was snakes and rats. This one's pretty light—probably spiders or cockroaches... You sure you want to open it?"
Chelsea's face went pale. Her hand trembled, and the package dropped like a hot potato.
"Oh, uh, Rain, I just remembered—I've got something to do. I won't help you open the package after all."
The door slammed shut as Chelsea fled the dorm.
