Trixie's POV

I'm all ready. Dressed, hair done, light makeup that looks amazing.

I'm just waiting on my mates.

Caden and Coban are supposed to be here at 7:00pm. I was informed that they would personally escort me to the ball. Picking me up from here. I was also specifically instructed that under no circumstances do I leave this room without them. If for some reason they don't show up, don't go looking for them.

I'm all in my thoughts when a pack link opens.

What the hell. Who would open the pack link? Whoever it is will be heard by all White Claw Pack that's here in the palace. Alpha Melvin is in the dungeon so that it couldn't be him. Maybe it's Beta Richard letting everyone know about Melvin.

"We don't cause a scene. The SUVs are packed up and ready. The drivers are already behind the wheel; they are waiting on us. We leave Benjamin's wolves to do the fighting, to cause the distraction. We abandon all parts of the plan that we were supposed to do for him. He's on his own. All we are going to do is locate Trixie, grab her, and get the hell out of here." It's Beta Richard. Oh shit. What the hell.

"Trixie," Cal immediately came through our personal mindlink.

"Cal, did you hear Beta Richard. What the hell is going on?" I say to him.

"Trix, have the Kings shown up yet?" He ignored my question and asked his own.

"Not yet. Cal, what's going on?" I repeat.

A knock on the door gets my attention.

I walk to the door. "It's our mates. They need to talk to us before we go downstairs." Leigha says.

I'm still very shaken up as I open the door and motion for them to come in.

"Uh, a link, beta Richard said," I stutter

"Hey, sweetheart," Coban says as he walks over to me, leads us to the sofa, and pulls me onto his lap. He places one of his hands on my waist and the other hand on my cheek, tilting my head slightly so I would look at him.

"Calm down, love. What's wrong?" He asks as Caden sits down beside us, placing his big hand on my thigh. "Sweetheart, what has you so upset?" He says to me in a gentle and soft voice.

I tell him what happened. About the mindlink that Beta Richard accidentally announced through the pack link and not a personal link, which was probably his intention to announce his entire plans to every White Claw member here at the palace.

"Damn," Caden said as he squeezed my thigh gently.

I look at both of them. They don't look surprised. Did they already know what he was up to?

"They came here to talk to you, dear. Whatever they tell you, listen. Do exactly what they ask of you." Leigha says.

So they do know something.

Coban's POV

I have Trixie on my lap.

She is so very tiny. When we walked in, we both knew she was upset, but what she told us blew my mind.

He announced his plans throughout the pack link, which is definitely hilarious.

I told everyone he would mess up.

I guess I was right.

"Hey, beautiful," I say with my hands still on her cheek, so she looks at me.

"I wanna first tell you that you look breathtaking this evening. You look like the queen you are, love." I say to her with a smile.

"You do look beautiful, my queen, absolutely stunning," Caden says to our mate.

"Thank you, my kings," she said as she turned a beautiful shade of red. Aw, my queen is shy, that's so cute.

"You both look very handsome as well." We both give her a very warm, gentle smile, and I can't help but stare into her eyes.

"Sweetheart, to answer your question, about an hour ago, my Lycan, Conan, saw and sensed something," I say to her, and then continue. "So the pack mindlink, the plan beta Richard announced, confirmed everything for us."

I go on telling her everything that happened an hour ago and the plans we have come up with.

Her emotions through our bond spiral.

She is scared, worried, and upset. "Hey love," I say, as I place my hand in her hair, guiding her head to my chest.

Caden rubs her back, trying to soothe her.

"My queen," Caden said. "We are not going to let anyone hurt you. We will protect you always." He says in a gentle voice.

I could sit here and hold her forever.

She feels so perfect in my arms.

She doesn't hesitate when I place her on my lap. She just got comfortable.

My queen already taken to her king.

"Can't we just stay here and stay like this and not worry about the ball and beta Richards?" she pouts. She is so adorable.

"Sweetheart, Damn, I wish we could," I say to her as I hold onto her a little longer.
