Katrina stared at him. The next second, she started screaming like a banshee.

She grabbed Liam’s collar.

"Liam, the baby is almost seven months! It's your flesh and blood! How can you say something so cruel?"

Liam sneered.

"Can a mistress produce a good bloodline? It's just a bastard!"

Katrina froze, repeating his words in disbelief. "Mistress? Bastard?"

She raised her hand and slapped Liam hard across the face.

"What right do you have to say that about me and my child! Liam! It was you! You fell for me. Why do you speak like it's all my fault?"

She started clawing at him like a crazy person.

Liam, already stabbed multiple times, collapsed to the ground, weak.

Seeing him faint, Katrina stumbled back in fear.

"No! It's not my fault!"

She looked up at Kate.

"Kate, he became like this because of you! You have to be responsible!"

"And what right do you have to take his money? I'm his woman too. I'm carrying his child! We deserve a share! You have to give it to us!"

Katrina wasn't the gentle, meek woman anymore. Relying on the baby in her belly, she exposed her true greed.

Kate found it funny.

"Didn't you claim you and Liam were true love? What, no money means no love, just a mess?"

Katrina looked at Kate with pure hate.

"If not for you, would we be like this?"

"You pretended to be noble, but you set a trap! You pretended to accept him back, but made him sign that agreement!"

"He clearly fell for me. I pretended to commit suicide, and he blamed you and brought me home."

"I pretended you stabbed me, hinted a little, and he thought you did it. Though I didn't expect him to cut you so many times for me..."

"It would have been better if you died back then! Liam and I would be so happy!"

Kate looked at her playfully.

"Really? Didn't you think stolen happiness always has to be paid back?"

She glanced at Liam on the ground.

Liam hadn't completely passed out.

He heard every word Katrina said. He was looking at her in shock.

Even after Kate divorced him, he never imagined Katrina had stabbed herself to frame Kate.

He always thought Kate had hurt Katrina in a fit of rage.

Katrina was cruel enough to gamble with her own life!

He stared at Katrina’s back, struggling to sit up.

Katrina didn't notice Liam was awake. She stared at Kate and Ryder, getting more agitated.

"You're lucky. You left Liam and have a nice man waiting for you!"

"But why! I schemed so hard and got nothing."

"Liam has nothing, yet he still looks down on me and my child..."

"Where did I lose to you! I don't accept it... I... Ah!"

Before she finished, the sound of a blade entering flesh was heard.

Katrina turned around, trembling.

Liam was looking at her with hatred.

"You bitch! It was you! You tricked me! You made me lose Kate!"

Kate looked at Liam in shock.

She expected him to be angry, but not to stab Katrina directly.

Katrina held her stomach, screaming in pain.

"My belly... it hurts... Liam, how could you..."

Kate felt no sympathy, but she didn't want a murder here.

She called the police and an ambulance.

Liam and Katrina were taken away.

Liam stared at Kate until the doors closed, his eyes full of regret.

"Kate... I'm sorry..."

Kate looked at the blood on the hallway carpet. Shocking red.

She looked at Ryder blankly. "They... won't die, will they?"
