**CHAPTER 3 – THE ONE WITH FRIENDS AND SQUID 1.5**

"Sister, let's go! We're having breakfast." AM started enthusiastically, then PM also smiled brightly behind him.

Just for a moment. What kind of trip are these guys on and how happy they are in the morning? Even Dahlia in the back is smiling. Are they really like this every day when they invite you for breakfast?

And because I was still so sleepy, I ignored what AM said and looked at Dahlia.

"What time is it?" I asked, still confused.

"It's 5am, Sky. Let's go downstairs!" Dahlia replied enthusiastically.

5am?! Are they idiots?! I fell asleep at 2am last night and my class started at 10am. These abnormal people, they disturbed my sound sleep just to invite me to breakfast?

Is this really how it is in this house, mandatory to go down to the dining area to eat? What is this? Military training? I wanted to say no and say I slept late, but I couldn't do anything when AM pulled me out of the room and PM closed the door.

AM's hand is now anchored on my right arm. Then here's Dahlia, also anchored on my left arm. Do I have to get used to this every morning? Is it normal for them to be like this?!

"Let's make haste! Sister Sky will cook," AM said, making me stop walking.

They also stopped when I stopped. Wait, did he say cook? Was it included in the contract I signed to cook for them?!

"What's happening?" I asked as I looked around at the three of them.

The three of them looked at each other and smiled at each other. Are these people putting on a show for me? It's early morning, huh!

Dahlia made me face her by holding both of my shoulders.

"We're having a breakfast together with the young lady. I received a call from her. She ordered to prepare breakfast and said you were to cook. She also gave a list of the food to prepare for breakfast," explained Dahlia.

I slowly came to my senses and my eyes slowly widened at what she said. Wait--- She wants me to cook for breakfast? But why??

Is it because of the marinated squid?!

They both grabbed my arms again and walked quickly towards the elevator. So I had no choice but to keep up with the speed of their every step.

"What did you do, Ate? Did you do anything? Why did Ate Thera think you were the one to cook?" AM asked when we were riding the elevator.

"Same question. My sister rarely joins us for breakfast. And this is her first time to request something. She usually just drops by without saying anything," PM added to her sister's question.

Even Dahlia was looking at me intently as if she was also waiting for an answer.

And because I didn't know what to tell them, I just shrugged and stared at my reflection in the mirror inside the elevator.

I'm still wearing my pink Hello Kitty pajamas, I clearly haven't washed them yet, and my hair is still a bit tangled. But it's not just me, it's also the people next to me.

Is that all they're excited about having breakfast with Thera and they can't even fix themselves?

When we arrived at the kitchen, all the cooks were busy. A maid came up to me and handed me a piece of paper. It was Tanya.

"What is this?" I asked her.

"That's a list of what the young lady is cooking." Tanya said, pulling me closer to her once the three abnormals who were disturbing my sleep were gone.

"Sky, do you think she heard our conversation last night, that's why she's doing this now? Do you think this is his way of getting back at us?" Tanya asked worriedly.

"That's not it," I replied confidently because I was sure it was because of the marinated squid.

Is it me she's dog-showing? Is this her reward for waking me up early and breaking my sleep? But why would he do that when I'm supposed to teach his siblings? Or maybe he liked my cooking? There are so many questions in my mind. Things are happening so fast in this house!

When I finished cooking three dishes, the maids helped me set them on the table.

Luckily, many people helped me and we cooked faster. The twin bananas also helped.

I wanted to wash my face but I couldn't because everyone's boss lady was coming down. I just tied my hair and helped set the food on the table.

There are so many dishes on the table today, but I only asked them to cook three. The mushroom soup, creamy beef with mushrooms and corn, and then the cordon blue. Besides that, there is also tasty bread on the table, sausage, rice, eggs, and Caesar salad. Actually, this is for lunch.

"Young lady is coming downstairs!" said a maid upon entering the dining area.

AM and PM's faces suddenly lit up when they heard their sister coming downstairs. I was caught off guard when AM suddenly pulled me while holding my hand.

"Sister, let's go! Let's meet Sister Thera." He said as he dragged me out of the dining hall, heading to the grandstairs.

This little animal! It's starting to stink. I think it's a hobby to drag it around.

The three of us arrived at the grand stairs, while Dahlia was left in the dining hall with the other maids.

"Woof!"

At the same time, we looked at a very cute golden retriever coming down the stairs.

"Oreo!!!" the twins called to the dog at the same time. Oreo quickly ran towards them.

When they got closer, the twins both knelt down to pet Oreo. And because I was so excited to be hugged by this golden retriever, I petted him too. He was such a good dog, he didn't even get angry when I pinched his ears.

"That's hilarious." AM commented, which made me laugh. This kid also has a goofy personality. And then, we all stopped petting Oreo when we heard footsteps coming from the grand staircase.

I know that's her...I can smell it. That perfume...

I slowly raised my head to look at the person coming down the stairs.

She's wearing a long purple silky robe, that---that's the same color as her eyes. Wait---what?! She

has purple eyes!

She has a pair of beautiful purple eyes. The emotions behind those eyes are unreadable. If truth be told, they look lifeless. But that's the beauty in it. Even though her eyes are lifeless, they are the first thing that grabs your attention when you look at them.

Just like the first time I saw her, her black long hair was loose, as if it were the pet of an expert. It's like the creator carefully sculpted every part of her face to be a perfect fit. Her naturally plumped red lips, small pointed nose, thick eyebrows, and long lashes accent her beautiful eyes; even her jaw is exquisitely chiseled.

Oh damn it! She looks like a literal goddess.

My heart is beating in a way that I can't spell out, and it's getting hard to breathe that I can't find a proper word to explain the emotions I'm feeling right now. I just felt it now. I'm still star struck.

When she was about to get off, she turned in my direction. That's when my eyes met her gaze. I can feel my soul meeting hers. Oh, I wish I knew what's happening. Even I'm confused. Is it normal to see a goddess? Tanya's exaggerated description of her beauty last night didn't even justify her beauty now that I see her eye to eye. Her beauty is so much more than that.

She looks ethereal…
