**CHAPTER 4 - THE ONE WITH THE BROKEN PHONE 1.2**

This is my fourth day of staying here at the Arentsvelts' mansion. The past day wasn't that difficult. I was able to adjust quickly to the mansion because the people are so kind. I've become close to almost all the staff here, especially the "Group Maid" as Tanya calls them.

When it comes to work, the twins are easy to teach. They are both intelligent and learn new things easily. AM excels in Science, specifically in Chemistry and Physics, while PM is a Math genius. Gradually, PM's skin is catching up with AM's. I feel like he has become completely comfortable with me, so his true skin is coming out. In fact, he is even more handsome than AM and he is the one who shows off by making Tiktok videos after class.

I found out that it was bonding time for the siblings to make some videos. They have a joined account that has a total of 1.4 million followers. Just kidding, these banana twins are so popular online. Their last post was a video with me. We're dancing to that one trending song.

When I posted that, I received one chat after another from Riley, even from Luna, saying that you are famous. Many people are asking in the comment section who I am and the video has reached 2.4 million likes with 12 million views. I told Riley not to reply to my name because the witch wants to be proud that I am her friend. I don't know why our video has so many likes. As AM's stunned mouth said...

They say I look like I'm abnormal to dance. I agree with that. I don't really know how to dance. They just forced me to.

Last night, I was scrolling through their Tiktok account. I was watching their videos one by one. I'm checking if there's even one video of them including or capturing their sister, but there's none. There's no picture on the internet despite the fact that she's the heir to the biggest corporation in the country and has no social media account. Does her life really revolve around her room?

Speaking of the beautiful devil, since we had breakfast together, I haven't seen her leave the room again. But these past few nights, I've been knocking on her door every night and leaving dinner there at TABLE. Yes, I haven't put it in front of the door. Unlike the first time She opened the door for me, the previous nights, She ignored my knocking on his door. But every time I woke up the next morning, the tray was gone from the table.

I'm wondering if she's still annoyed with what happened during our breakfast. She's not firing me. That's what matters.

I also discovered something during the few days I went back and forth to her room to drop off dinner. I think she's a big fan of Friends. I always hear her watching it every time I put my ear to the door. One time, I even heard her singing along to the intro. I couldn't really hear her voice because the red door was so thick, but I know that she's singing that show's intro song. I'm not sure either, but once, I thought I heard her laughing while watching. But I know, maybe it's just my imagination. It doesn't seem like she knows how to laugh.

It's currently 1:34 in the morning and I'm currently walking towards the red door that Tanya has been gossiping about, I'm the only one brave enough to do. I'm already late cooking because I finished my visual presentation for our Chemistry class tomorrow. I don't know what to do with myself. Instead of just sleeping, I'm still doing this. I'm used to it.

I'm holding the food tray with marinated chicken and two scoops of rice. I've doubled it now. I always put one cup of rice in, otherwise it might get stuck.

When I got close, I put the tray down on the table and then I knocked twice. Only twice later, I was attacked again.

"Young lady, there's food outside. I'll go first," I said, even though I wasn't sure if she could hear me whenever I did that.

But of course I'm not really leaving yet. As usual, I put my ear close to the door. My forehead slowly furrowed when I didn't hear any sound from inside. Isn't he watching Friends? Maybe she's asleep? I tried pressing my face closer to the door to hear the other side better, but nothing. That's weird. Maybe he's having a rest day from watching Friends on Thursday?

"Oh, Thursday!" I was so surprised and I immediately looked away from the red door.

I felt my hands getting cold quickly and my knees getting stiff. I stood in front of the door and stared straight at it. I turned to look at the voice that had come from the source.

That low piercing sound of her voice that's full of authority. Although she's not wearing her signature perfume, I know that's her. That's her!

"What are you doing?" she asked calmly.

Act normal, Sky! You didn't commit a crime, don't be so harsh about it! Why do you act like a criminal caught red-handed?

I slowly turned to look at her. She's looking at me with a dull expression on her face. She's currently wearing a big black hoodie with a psyduck design on the front and she's wearing skinny jeans and rubber shoes. You can barely see her face because the hood is so big on her head. Even the jacket itself is bigger than her. I want to laugh because of what's written on the hoodie.

Some people give me headaches, then Psyduck looks at me with disgust. The fuck??

Why is she dressed like that?! Then why is she outside?!

"Where are you looking at?" I quickly raised my head because of her question.

"On Psyduck." I quickly answered because I thought she might think I was looking at her. She bent down slightly to look at Psyduck in her jacket. When I raised my head, she raised an eyebrow at me, which made me lower my head.

"You're really weird. Do you know that?" she asked with a deep sigh. "So..." she added as if waiting for me to explain what I was doing. I straightened up and faced her squarely.

"I brought your dinner---"

"Then why were you sticking your face on the door?"

It's a mess.

"I knocked, no one answered. I had a feeling no one was there, so I tried to listen for sound---"

My speech was cut off when she suddenly frowned, shook her head, and walked towards the door. I also heard her whisper "Mental."

That's it, you're going mental.

I moved slightly away when she approached the door. She took her key from her jacket and started opening the door. I remained standing behind her.

"There's your dinner, young lady." I said when she finally opened the door.

She turned to the table where the tray was. For a quick second, I saw her body stiff and then she quickly looked away.

"Take that away. I don't eat chicken." he said, turning to look at me with a wicked look. Wait, what did I do again?

"I cooked it well. It's goo---"

"Parker. Enough. First off, I didn't ask you to cook that. I never asked you to bring me dinner every night. That's not your responsibility. Moreover, I don't like chicken. You should know that. You could have asked Dahlia before presenting yourself to cook me dinner every night." she said annoyed while giving me a bad look.

Is she angry because of the chicken? Maybe she's hungry and has a bad mood because she doesn't like the food I brought.

"Sorry. I can cook something el---"

"No! See. I didn't ask you to do that. Why do you keep doing this? Nobody asked you to do that. Are you doing this because you're looking for my approval? Well, try proving yourself by teaching my brother and sister. You're not here to be my personal cook." Her voice was a little high compared to her normal lifeless tone. She seemed to be really pissed with me.

Suddenly I realized what she said. She was right. I don't know why I'm doing this. Maybe she's right, maybe I'm doing this because I want her approval. I just don't like the feeling that I can't even approach my boss. I'm used to my previous employers being able to approach them quickly. She's the one who's hard to approach.

"And put that in mind, I hate chickens! It doesn't matter what type of dish it is, as long as there's chicken in it. I don't like it." she added, making me frown. Why was she insisting that she didn't like any dish with chicken after she said it wasn't my responsibility to cook for her?

Plus, she doesn't like chicken, so her jacket is a Psyduck chick. A very yellow chick.

"Hey. Are you listening?" he asked grumpily with a snap. I just nodded in response.

"Why are you always spacing out? Are you having conversations with yourself inside your head?"

I just stared at him because of what she said. W-wait, she can't read minds, right?

"S-sorry." That's all I could say again. Why do I have such a hard time answering her? I'm a smart person, I'm good at answering, but when I talk to her, I admit I look stupid.

"Just remember that l.don't.like.chickens." she repeated. Son of!

"Nod if you understand." she said with full authority.

Come on, is she seriously mad at the chicken? I immediately nodded so he wouldn't get angry.

"Now leave and bring that despicable thing on that tray with you." she said so I quickly went over to the tray and fixed it.

She walked into his room but the door remained open. When he finally entered, I finally said what I had been wanting to say. "I don't like chicken but the design of the hoodie is chicken." I said in a low tone of voice and prepared to walk away.

As I was walking away, I was stopped by her sudden scream. A scream as if he were an enemy.

"PSYDUCK IS A PLATYPUS!! YOU BL**DY IDI*T!" as she slammed the door shut. My mouth gaped in shock.

What the actual f*ck?! What's wrong with that person? Why is she like that? If I'm going to call her, she's going to call me mental and idiot. Who gave her permission to call me mental and idi*t? I'm going to dole out my boss.

I just shook my head at what happened. We shouldn't have been talking to each other. All our interactions were just stupid. As much as possible, our paths shouldn't have crossed.
