**CHAPTER 4 – THE ONE WITH THE BROKEN PHONE 1.0**

"Woof woof!"

That barking sound from Oreo pulled me back to my senses. I blinked my eyes to come back to reality. I felt like I had lost myself earlier when he came down the stairs.

And now she's here, standing in front of us, in full splendor and power. I don't know if my brain is just too OA but that's really the energy surrounding her. Not forced, just natural.

She patted the dog's head as it approached her. Its head was bowed as it stared at Oreo.

Looking at her, I realized that I'm way taller. If you were to guess, she's only up to my eyebrows, and she's wearing high heels. She also has a really good figure. Even though she's wearing a bath robe, you can still tell that she's a hard worker. I also exercise and I'm happy with my own figure. She's just curvier than me. What else? Oh that---she's stacked! "Morning, sweethearts." She greeted the two without even a smile. Her face remained emotionless.

She approached the two siblings. She gently stroked AM's head, she did the same to PM, but with a mess of hair. She's doing all these gestures with a poker face. What Tanya said last night was true, she's like that emoji with just horizontal lines on her eyes and mouth.

I also wanted to say good morning, but something stuck in my throat. I think I swallowed my tongue. But besides that, I'm too embarrassed to say hello because she doesn't look at me. It's like she doesn't see me next to them. I'm just like dust in the air.

"Sister, everything's set on the dining table. Sister Sky and the other cooks prepared all the dishes that you requested." AM said happily while wrapping both arms around her sister's waist.

Without realizing, I stared at AM's arms wrapped around her sister's waist. This kid is really clingy. She's more than tired. She's hugging everyone around her. It's like her hands move automatically when she's with someone.

"Really?" she asked in her British accent. I suddenly remembered Peppa Pig hehehe.

"Yes, Ate. We helped them in preparing. Let's go to the dining table to eat. Dahlia's also waiting. I bet she's so hungry." PM joining the conversation.

"The food is mouthwatering." AM added.

"Fine then. Let's have breakfast." she said

Then the three of them walked while AM still hugged his sister while walking and even rested his head on her shoulder.

Wait a minute…

Did they forget I was here?! They didn't even pay attention to me. These siblings are crazy.

My mouth gaped in disbelief as they walked together. Oreo was also following behind them.

Seriously?! Hello, beautiful people I'm here! I'm beautiful too!

Oreo suddenly stopped walking and looked at me. He then barked as if to say, "Hey! Someone's left!" That's when the three of them stopped walking and looked at me. Luckily, the dog remembered me.

"Ate Sky, let's go!" AM called to me.

When I didn't come closer immediately, he broke free from his sister's embrace and ran in my direction.

"Ate's hungry. She might get angry if we don't act right away." she whispered as she got closer, wrapping her hand around my arm and pulling me closer to her two siblings.

Was this child conceived by a python? His mother must have been pregnant with him, they had a snake in the house that was always coiled around a tree.

PM's smiling at me while the young lady is still wearing her bored expression.

"Ate Thera, just in case Dahlia hasn't told you yet, we met Ate Sky last night. We love her already. She's so funny and adorable. We had dinner together." AM shared while we were facing her sister.

"Ate Sky?" she questioned. The way she said "ate" was social. "She's your professor." She plainly commented.

She didn't seem angry. She just noticed that AM called me sister.

"We decided to call her that. It's more comfortable than calling her professor Parker. Besides, she's living with us now. We think that it's better calling her Ate since professor is a little too formal to call someone you live with." when PM explained.

She's still staring at me. She didn't even look at PM when she spoke. I feel like if I look away she'll stare at me.

"Hmm." She plainly reacted and then she started walking.

What hmm? That's her only answer? No violent reaction? That's neither "It's fine" nor "It's not". She's hard to read and yet he speaks so slowly, her voice is so beautiful. Yes, even her voice is beautiful. Maybe that's the reason why the Lord punished her behavior because nobody's perfect.

The twins just looked at each other and then followed their brother. I couldn't do anything but follow because AM was still holding on to me.

I'm watching her as she walks in front of us...

We're all now located in the dining area. Thera is sitting at the head of the dining table as she serves as the head of the family. On her right is AM and on her left is PM. Beside PM is Dahlia, while I'm sitting beside AM.

There were only five of us sitting in front of the dining room today where there was a lot of food. There were three maids standing near the entrance of the dining area and then two male servers in the other corner.

"I'll lead the prayer." AM said and made the sign of the cross, so I cheered. They did the same. Even Thera, who seemed to be born with resentment and couldn't even smile, made the sign of the cross too.

After that, we all bowed our heads and closed our eyes. Except one. Thera didn't close her eyes and remained stoic, staring into nothingness. AM started praying and silence covered the room. You will only hear AM's voice. It was the same last night when we had dinner. She's also the one who led the prayer last night.

AM was still thanking the Lord a little. While she's still praying, I slowly opened my left eye. I looked at them one by one. Dahlia felt the closing of her eyes. PM, on the other hand, seemed to be praying because his lips were moving but there was no sound coming out of it while his eyes were closed. I also looked at AM who's sitting beside me.

When I finished looking at them, I shifted my gaze to their sister. Then for a second, a feeling of a quick voltage of electricity hit my spine.

She's glaring at me!

She caught me looking at her with just my right eye while her sister was praying. I quickly closed my eyes.

Why does she look so evil?!

"Amen." AM finished his prayer and we opened our eyes together and adjusted our seats.

After AM's prayer, the three maids came and loaded our plates with food. You just point to what you want and they'll serve it. It was different last night when we had dinner. She took it.

You can feel the weight around her. I know I'm not the only one who feels like I'm being choked by Thera's aura. Because even Dahlia, her overly formal behavior has returned. Is there something like this just because their boss is here?

Speaking of the devil. I slowly shifted my gaze to her. Her sight is still fixed in my direction. But this time, she's no longer glaring. There's no longer any emotion in her eyes. Did I just blink at the way she looked at me earlier? I slightly bowed my head while looking at her and then she slowly shook her head in disbelief as an answer. After shaking her head, she picked up the fork and dinner spoon.

Have I done something wrong again? Is she angry with me? During the interview, she let me down.

My first morning at their house, I was disturbed from sleep just to cook, they have so many chefs here. Earlier when he came down, I was like a soul on the side that he couldn't see, and now she's looking at me evilly and shaking her head?

"How's the food, sister?" AM asked while still chewing.

She's like the strict grandmas in the teleseryes. The only difference is that she's not a grandma yet and she's still beautiful.

AM quickly swallowed what he was chewing, then spoke again, "Sorry. But, do you like it? Is it good?" she asked again.

"Bland." she answered shortly to her sister. She's eating the creamy beef that I cooked.

Dahlia, AM, and PM looked at me after that comment. It was like they were all waiting for my reaction.

"No it's not. It's good and it's really tasty. It's good Aunt Sky, it's really delicious." praise from PM.

"I agree with PM, ate Sky. It's really good. It's like a chef's cooking." AM joked. Dahlia just hid while smiling at me.

I know they didn't plastic wrap it because it was really delicious. Bland, a bit salty! But delicious.

"Okay. Eat a lot so you two have energy for class later." I only told the twins and ignored the comment from their older sister who seemed angry at the world.

"That's him, sister..." AM spoke again and turned to face his brother. This kid really won't let his chatter stop him.

"Why did you decide to join us for breakfast today?" she asked

"Don't you want me to?"

I frowned at his answer to his brother. The kid was just asking a question.

"Of course we want to!" PM joined the conversation.

"Yes! We love that you're here. But, this only happens once. Plus, you just requested breakfast to be cooked. Of course, we're also curious about the reason."

After AM said that, Thera raised her head and looked at me. Because of that, they all looked at me too. Or what did I do to her again? I sat here silently sipping soup.

"Your professor brought me dinner at 12am, in my room. Even though nobody asked her to do that." she began.
